Broken usb was created by Bhinman
I have a devo 7e with a broken usb port. Already loaded deviation software before it broke off inside. Opened it up and it was literally rolling around inside. Do I have to buy a new tx to load more models or future releases? Any other way to load software other than usb port?

You are quite stuck without the usb port if you want to copy files or upgrade.
Models can still be created manually on the tx itself.
Are you able to solder the usb port back on?

Also, the solder pads may be torn off, so to make it easier to solder you may be better off getting a cheap cable like this one , cutting it apart to expose the wires, and soldering the individual wires to more accessible points on the circuit board. Added benefit of giving you a more flexible port for using with simulators etc. without breaking it again when you get caught up in the excitement.

If you yourself can't, then maybe try looking for a local hackerspace or the like.silpstream wrote: Are you able to solder the usb port back on?

This has happened before,
here
is a link to one time. A more recent thread has photos, but I can't seem to find that thread.
So it's fixable!

Hello everyone!
I'm new on the site of the great flexsible Walkera Devo transmitter.
Thanks for all the useful information that I
have gotten here from all contributors!
On my Devo 10 I do not get installed
new software because the mini USB plug
have fallen completely off (cold soldering ? )
Can someone be kind and show me solder points on the main board for new WIRE and USB connector ?
Thank you in advance
With best regards
