Futaba 6J + HT8 vs. 7E Deviationtx : Binding issue

I have an Hisky HCP60 which learned flying with the Futaba+HT8 combo and later migrated to Deviationtx.
Now that I need to make some add'l mods to the Devo 7E, I find that the HCP60 refuses to bind with the HT8, come what may. What could be at play here? I have an HFP80 which binds alternately with both radios with no problem at all!

SOLVED: when changing radio, the HCP60 needs the initial bind procedure (unlike the HFP80).
