Hi All,

I have a low range issue with my 3 in 1 module purchased from BG around april of this year and recently installed. I am getting 3.28 volts on the modules vcc pin. Is that voltage ok or does it need to be 3.3v or a little higher? What else should I check? My Taranis works fine with the receiver so I know its not that.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Fab

the voltage is ok at that level bud, what protocol are you using, and what power level? (I presume it's frsky as you say taranis but the taranis can use other modules including the 4in1). do other recievers on the same protocol have better range? do protocols that use a different rf chip have good range?

Hi HappyHarry,

Yes, I'm trying to use frisky protocol and tried different power settings but not sure which I should be using. I'll try to connect to a couple other models and check the range. thank you.

I'm getting the same low range using the hubsan protocol also. I forgot to mention I added an antenna mod 5dbi to see if that would help but no go.

I decided to change out the 3 in 1 and installed a CC2500 module and the range is fine with this module. Really only interested in using Frsky and DSMX. Though the 3 in 1 would have been nice.
