"Deviation v5.0.0 build with latest protocols"
the title of this topic lead to the question. I think anyone of us is flying the nightly builds. So why we keep calling it 5.0.0?
When will it become 5.0.1 ? What are the criteria of version numbering?
To me it would be logic step, to use the numbering for instance; First two digits Mainstream Stable releases (5.0). Then two digits behind follow up nr for the nightly build add on 1-99?
Example 5.0.14, meaning build 5.0 main release nightly 14? At some point then could move to next main release when everybody is happy with the nightly fixes etc 5.1 .00
Anyway it would be more easy and visible to see what we re running etc and to remember versions etc.
Just brainstorming
