F12E V5.0 - Next steps ?

I'm using Deviation since 1 year on my Devo 10 - working great! NRF and A7105 installed. Meanwhile i have a F12E - but i dont use this.

Since some days a have a second F12E - so i started to try deviation 5.0. i am reading sometimes the instruction and the first installation was ok. My F12E is starting with Deviation - but i was not able to store models - or other changes. (Nightly 23.12)
I flashed back to Walkera firmware and tryied a second time. The same result - no model available and no storing. I am reading here in another thread - to copy via usb the unzipped "devo.fs" - this one on my transmitter was empty.
Yes- it works
Deviation Uploader shows no files in FileManager.

Now i have 2 questions -

how to bring a changed TX file to my F12E - cause i want to install a cc2500 modul.
(Same question for model-files)

output power - i have 2 F12E - one with 10mW (German Version) and one with 100mW
Is Deviation able to increase this output of 10mW ?

So - after reading the long f12E thread i can answer the TX power question by myself -
Deviation unlocks the power restiction

I have tried several times to install Deviation on my F12E, the devo.fs is always empty. for me its only possible to transfer this file via USB to the transmitter.

And I have no access to the files on my F12E with the deviation-uploader. I am using the nightly 23.12.

Is there another nightly to use ?

But you have time - it's Christmas - and new year - so the most have to do other things - so i know all things need time

Sorry for opening a new thread - but there a some long threads - and its hard to find there any information. I try to read - but i think i didnt found all what i have to know.

I have tested your dfu file

It was not possible to send this with deviation-uploader - "send" button stays gray

So i changed to Walkera dfu - and upload your file. Started the TX again - and it works

Next step i exchange the fs file - but this does not work for my TX, i try that one from the nightly - and this works

I compare the contend of this 2 fs files and they are different.


And sorry - i really dont know hat 5.0 is not working for F12E - i have seen some posts that its possible - so i tried this also.

It would be nice to have in future a possibility to activate an additional TX modul.

Seems i am on the right way now - after reading a lot of threads

.. some hours later i have successfully installed Deviation on my F12E and bound with a FrSky X4RSB Transiever.

I am very very happy now

The most work is to find all the informations you need for such a projekt.

I have a JJPRO P130 completely disassembled - flashed the ESCs with Blheli - replaces the FC with a NAZA32 FULL Rev6, adding minimOSD - tested several GPS . I want to have a full featured small Quadcopter.

Next will be a 150 mm full featured Quadcopter with CC3D Revo FC.

(Hope both will fly one day )))

I updated to last 5.0 nightbuild version for F12E. How did you bind with a FRSKY reciever? i have a XSR. I Go to model on F12 and i select FRSKY X protocol but it appears like *FRSKYX and i cant do anything...it seems its not available..other protocols are without * symbol and they work...

What Do I need to do?

Hello sros

For more than walkera protocols you will need some hardware -
You will find the list "Wiki"-supported models - there is also a list which hardware you need.

For frsky you need the cc2500 transmitter modul.

The better solution will be to exchange the existing transmitter modul with an 4in1 (4 transmitter in one) modul for Walkera - available by banggood for 33 Euro. You dont need an addional antenna - and find a way to and have no restrictions in future - for example the AFHDS 2A protokoll. This 4in1 modul is easier to install.

Do you have a F12E-XMS ( extended with a 4MB memory chip) ?
