DEVO 10 + QX70 help was created by coolwithpie
I got a QX70 dsmx/dsm2 edition for christmas, and it doesn't seem to want to bind with my DEVO 10. Running deviation 5.0. Neither DSMX or DSM2 works. Any help would be appreciated. I know DSM2 works on the TX because I've bound it to a Micro Scisky board.

For a DSM2 receiver you will need to set UART2 to serial rx in CF config, then in the settings select serial rx and 1024 bits.
For DSMX receiver you will need to set UART2 to serial rx in CF config, then select serial rx and 2048 bits.

3 for DSM2 1024bit/22ms
5 for DSM2 2048bit/11ms default AlienWii32
7 for DSMX 1024bit/22ms used by Devo 7e
8 for DSMX 2048bit/22ms Used by new DXe
9 for DSMX 2048bit/11ms

To enter bind mode use table below to select appropriate setting for CLI -

set spektrum_sat_bind = 7 (for DSMX @ 1024bit)

Then type save, hit enter, type exit and/or reboot. *should come up in bind mode*

Perform bind on receiver. Once bound go back to CLI and set -

set spektrum_sat_bind = 0 (to disable binding)

reboot the FC and you should be good to go.

Now.. I've bound my Devo in DSMX in 22ms mode as suggested above. Was not able to get a stable bind in 11ms mode. Was able to bind DSM2 in either mode. Remember DSMX has frequency hopping for a more reliable connection where DSM2 doesn't. With this said, there are many folks that fly with DSM2 and never lost a connection but it is theoretically possible, given the technology.
