"*4.0.1 and earlier: Connect 8→GND and 9→3.3V. Leave 6 and 7 floating
After 4.0.1, connect 6→9 and 7→8"
not sure what pins on what module it is referencing to..

magic_marty wrote: Installed the a7105 in my 8s first cause it is easier to take apart and i think it is working...I enabled the module in the hardware.ini and selected A14 for the pin and i get no error message when powering on and i can select the protocols associated with the a7105 but at this time i don't have nothing to try to bind the tx to...Only thing that is confusing me is this quote i read on the wiki

For those who continue to run old version 4.0 or below, the wiring is different, but for you that's not relevant. It works both ways, but with more advanced protocols, you need the most recent Deviation and the most recent wiring.
Deviation Devo7e 3way switch mod, A7105, NRF24L01
Devo6s 2x2 switch mod, trim mod, haptic, multimodule, A7105, NRF24L01, CC2500
Devo12e 4-in-1 with voice mod -- it speaks!!

To bring it to the new wiring, disconnect the Vcc from pin9, and remove the ground from pin 8, then connect pin 6-9 and 7-8.
By tying pin 9 (TXEN) with 3.3v, you're turning on the Power Amp (PA) for transmit all the time; tying pin 8 to ground ensures that the (RXEN) stays off. When the PA is on, the A7105 transmits further, but can't hear back from the RX; when the PA is off it can hear better. So the change for 5.0 that ties pin 6 (GIO1) to pin 9 (TXEN) and pin 7 (GIO2) to 8 (RXEN) allows Deviation to toggle the PA on and off -- on when it is transmitting to the aircraft, off when the aircraft replies (like with telemetry). Basically, if you have the "old" wiring, telemetry doesn't work -- if you have a Hubsan or ProtoX with telemetry you can see the effect.
Happy Flying!
