Using one of the navigation button was created by StuartAmbient
Trying to use a button (in this case the "right") as a momentary. It would act as the "flip" button. Not sure if this is correct but if anyone can offer some feedback it'd be appreciated.
First I went into Trims and added a trim with the src as Virtual1
[trim5]
src=Virt1
pos=Right
step=193
Then into the mixer to setup the virtual channel
[virtchan1]
template=complex
[mixer]
src=Virt1
dest=Virt1
scalar=0
usetrim=0
Finally I want this to operate on Channel 7
[channel7]
template=simple
[mixer]
src=Virt1
dest=Ch7
curvetype=expo
points=0,0

You can test on the channel monitor option of your transmitter.
By the way you can also read this excellent guide by Deal57.

Right, I was thinking to monitor the channel.
Now, I posted the model file but mostly for reference. I used the screens to set things up and will probably stay with that method for the time being.
I followed the manual instructions Advanced Topics / Using a Trim as a Virtual Switch.
The instructions use an actual trim as the example while I am attempting to use one of the buttons. What was confusing then I had the "Trim -" and "Trim +" fields. I only put the button in the Trim+ field and left Trim- none. Not sure if that is wrong.
Then the instructions have setting up the virtual channel as the next step. After doing that the instructions end as completed. Then I went ahead and gave src in Channel 7 to the virtual channel. So far it's not working and I'm not sure why.
