Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Check the about page. If that says 4.0.1, you didn't upgrade. If that's the case, tell us exactly what you did and maybe we can figure out what went wrong.

Don't install release 5.0.0. Install Vlad's "5.0 with latest releases" test build:
www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-disc...ring-operation#60167
You can find it in the forum in the "builds" sub-forum. He uploads his compiled ZIP files.

Is this just the 8s version, or does it apply to others.
I use devo10 and dsmx protocol..... really do not want to have my 450 come down due to a bug in devaition, shouldnt this really be pushed to a new version of deviation!!!!

It applies to all versions.
We really need a "stable" build in between "release" and "nightly". It should be the release version + new protocol code (what Vlad is providing) + bug fixes.

Then why should we not just have a monthly 5.0.x based on vlads branch?

Actually he is only maintaining the 5.0.0 branch because he doesn't like the new menu system.
He has merged all the changes to that branch except for that...

I personally believe in the nightlies, as they usually are very stable. On the other hand having a bugfix/protocol addition release would only force users to update the firmware dfu and leave the filesystem untouched.

Not necessarily.
A bug fix might affect the filesystem. Usually not, but it can happen...

Always turn on the radio FIRST, then your heli ESC/flight pack!
First turn off your heli, then the radio (if at all).
