Devo 10 bad sectors in memory? was created by Flyingboats
Has anyone ever had issues with editing/saving the Hardware.ini file? I was trying to help another guy with his secondhand Devo 10 and ended up having an issue where the .ini file showed as empty of any text. We couldn't delete it or edit it. Tried reflashing Deviation (v5.0.0-770b4f8) which made no difference. We were wondering if the flash memory may have become corrupt in that sector?

Immediately prior to this occurring I'd enabled other modules in the hardware.ini as I had understood it had a 3 in one or 4 in one module added (turns out it doesn't, just the stock Devo module plus CC2500). We got the error message "Missing A7105 module" then could not re-edit, overwrite or delete the hardware.ini.

PC involved has successfully flashed and edited 2 other Devo 10's so don't believe it's the issue.

I've received one suggestion to format the Devo 10 from the PC before reflashing but would appreciate a second opinion.

Thanks

I have the same problem on my DEVO8S. Only format resolve this problem.
