8s (touch) screen replacement ?

Devo 8s touch screen not working, I think it is the same as 6s. Have searched this forum for answers, have tried cleaning and removing silicon with no luck. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't and other times is intermittent.

I have bought a TSC2008 SPI touch sensor and will try that when it arrives.

But maybe it is time "we" tried to find some sort of complete screen replacement. It does not have to have the same mounting holes, it just needs to be same size and compatible, even if we need to use wires and solder it to main board. I do not think it will be difficult to do.

I do not write code and not experienced with this type of thing and am looking for everyone to chime in and help.

But, and please don't be offended, if you read my first post you will see I had already figured that much out before I started thread.

It was on wiki I found that info, plus I have removed screen to see parts and numbers and ordered the TSC2008 days ago as mentioned in post #1

Have also checked STM32 mcu pin out to TSC2008, also on wiki.

Have yet to figure out connection to lcd, not sure I can do that yet. Wiki says what mcu pins go to it but not in detail.

Fixed and it wasn't the TSC2008 controller.
