Would it be an option to make a very basic 7E port that would just allow to "fly"? Users could do most of the model configs on the emulator.

As I've said, unless you are willing to sacrifice your 7e, I wouldn't recommend doing anything at all until Walkera releases a firmware since there will be no way to go back to the stock firmware until they do.

Hello,
no answer from Walkera about the 7E firmware. I've sent another email asking for it. A port of Deviation will be very gratefull. Can help to fit in memory size remove the "hardware mod" protocols?

The answer from Walkera. No luck.

Dear Enrique,
I have asked the D&R Dept for the firmware. But this kind of firmware couldn't be shown online publically.
Any question, pls be free to contact me.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards

Hello again,

any chance to have a "reduced" Deviation version for 7E without the possibility to go back? I will take the risk.

Hi,
I think that an easy to install Deviation release for the Devo 7E would be a disaster for Walkera.

Devo 10 (+7e) owner. It's mine, please don't touch it with your big fingers

I used to think the same, but I don't think the 7e has enough control inputs to really be competitive. We will also be extremelytightly constrained for resources. Anyhow, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. Deliveries from China tend to take a very long time. Once I have it, I'll start work on porting to it.

Anybody know if it's simple to switch a MODE1 Devo7E to a MODE2? Banggood is all out of MODE1 Devo7E.

On the Turnigy 9X, it was as easy as switching over the spring on the throttle and changing the MODE via software.

Thanks.
