Using DfuSe to backup existing firmware? was created by Hexperience
I have a custom build on my devo12 and I want to save it before testing a new build. Does the upload function save the firmware? I don't need to "decompile" it or anything, just a backup in case I want to go back to it.

no, it is not possible unless you replace the bootloader.
