7e layout editor issue was created by HappyHarry
guys i can't get changes made in the layout editor to stick in my 7e, i can add the battery voltage and tx power to the screen (as these are no longer showing on the 7e as default) and position them where i want, and they show up no problem, but once i change model and come back, or turn the tx on and off the changes dissapear. this is with the latest firmware, built last night, with the three position switch patch applied.

also what do timer 255 and 256 represent? perhaps total tx on time and something else?

and it seems i can no longer add icons to represent throttle hold and fmode positions?

Until no change to these items will be done all is ok. New settings are not saved in the ini file.

Timer 255 and 256 are accessible trough main page config timer box only. Both settings are located before timer 1. I do not what they are for also.

We need to add them in their original positions in the templates and default.ini

I'll add this to the ticket

i'm sure i remember being able to add items on the screen to show the status of the throttle hold switch and the flight mode switch, but these are no longer options on the screen editor, there is an item called a toggle, but when i choose to add one and set it for hold or fmode nothing is shown on the actual home screen, though it is shown on the editor screen

HappyHarry,
did you configure the toggle? You must select an icon, otherwise you won't see anything.

happyharry,
I'm also a devo7e user. Do you mean there's a toggle option in screen editor? Or how do you add items on the screen to show the status of the throttle hold switch and the flight mode switch??

I cannot locate any option for this at all :pinch:

The devo7e does not support modifying the layoutof the main screen on the transmitter. It can be done in the emulator (using the devo10 emulator) or by hand in a text editor.

However, today I checked in an updated default for the devo7e and devo10 that adds 5 toggles to the main page. They default to disabled on the Devo7e, but you can go to the main page config and enable them. If you can't build from source, you'll need to wait for tomorrow's nightly to get the updates though.

I have a similar problem with my Devo 10. TX Power is no longer viewed, no matter what I do on the view-editor. Hope the next nightly will help :-)

Works for me. Make sure you update the filesystem and check with a new model. You may need to manually add tx power and battery voltage for older models.

guys if you can build the firmware yourself, and if you disable telemetry there is enough room for the layout editor, and it works fine on the transmitter :)

What would you expect to select? These are either there or not, they have no selection. Just add them and long-press 'ENT' then go and place them.

DonĀ“t know what to expect, but even after long-pressing "ENT" an placing them, there are no values shown. Not even a "0.00"
