A7105 wiring of GIO pins

Thanks again! So to clarify 1 thru 9 are wired like this:

1 VCC to VDD
2 SCS to TMS (a13 in hardware.ini)
3 GND to Ground
4 SCK to SCK
5 SDIO to MOS
6 GI01 to 9 TXEN
7 GI02 to 8 RXEN

Essentially following this diagram minus 6-9 and 7-8?

well I though I was out of the hole and well on my way but no luck, before I chuck this XL-a7105-D03 in the trash is there anything to try for diagnostics?

I have wired per above but used TCK as TMS is used for my NRF module (working)
1 VCC to VDD
2 SCS to TCK (a14 in hardware.ini)
3 GND to Ground
4 SCK to SCK
5 SDIO to MOS
6 GI01 to 9 TXEN
7 GI02 to 8 RXEN

I have checked with DMM all points to ensure continuity which all tested perfect. I have modified the hardware.ini to ensure I was enabling in A14 and for second line I have =1 to enable power amp. I'm at a loss, the only thing I can think of is I killed it by wiring the old method that is published etc. If there is any diagnostics I can run or test, I'm all ears. Thanks!

So not working with the old nor the new style wiring?
If you have checked carefullly your wiring, probably bad A7105 module...

Hi Durete Thanks for getting back and sorry I am such a pain

originally I wired using the spreadsheet published here which I assume is the old wiring method, and then I wired via the picture I linked prior, lastly I wired where I added the loops per your indication.

the only thing I haven't tried is removing the NFR.. module (working) and try just the a7105 by itself, I'm seriously thinking about the multimodule or trying to come up with a easier method to clean things up. I was hoping I could test the module somehow such as apply power on TX and probe the pins to see voltage etc., I just don't have that knowledge of what to look for. Is it possible or should I say fairly easy to kill the module by wiring the original (older method) ? I was under the assumption that both would work but it would use less power with newer method etc. I was confused why some diagrams showed GND looped to TXEN but again, not enough knowledge to understand the differences.

You was right, and both will work with the nightly. Only for the last main version, 4.0.1, you have to use the old wiring method.
The reason is, this version is missing some code to manage the GIO pins accordingly.
Since the module did not work even with this, you can assume the module is faulty.

I will try a last ditch effort with removing everything then trying just the a7105 module by itself, if that doesn't work then I'm tossing it and replacing

I am using Deviation 4.0.1 with a A7105 wired the "new power saving way" as per attached image, Is it necessary to use the nightly build to optimise this connection method i.e. lower power consumption and some telemetry support IIRC. Seeing as the nightly built is, I am led to believe not as stable as 4.0.1, is there any problem with using the new wiring with 4.0.1. which is what I am currently doing and it is binding to Hubsan with no apparent issues. I have added the connections for the NRF24L01 module as well

Where you show the NRF24L01 ground pin 1 going to the Devo 7e position 4 next to Vdd on the 7e board, that connection may not always work. I found the most reliable connection for ground for both the NRF and A7105 was the ground pin on the CYRF RF Shield pin 7. YMMV, but I think we see a lot of cases where the position 4 was used and had problems.
