Hi,

Quite a while ago PhracturedBlue mentioned that we can't use dfu-utils but have to use the Walkera DFuSe that runs only on windows.

PhracturedBlue wrote: Do not use the dfu-utils to program the Tx. The dfu is 'encrypted' by the Walkera DFuSe tool (using the STM32 unique-id). I will eventually create a custom programmer that implements the necessary changes to dfu-utils, but it is still a ways off.

Do you have any more information on what they do to the firmware? Or should I wire up a black magic probe into my transmitter? :)

I really hate the fact that I have to deal with windows. :) (yes that includes virtual machines, wines and other crap) Having the possibility to upload the firmware even with a custom script would be an improvement.

Cheers,
Esden

Try this one, works fine for me on (X)ubuntu12.04

Sadly the AVR Programming code for Devo8 cannot be flashed with this one (complains about wrong radio), but I flash my custom deviation builds with this one.
