Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.
My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

I'm glad my idea took off so nicely. I now have a question about a possibly better way to do this.
I'm thinking about adding code to deviation to allow extra inputs via the USB port. It would work very much like the PPM input, except the data would come in via the serial port, and it'd be a lot easier to generate. I'm thinking about something like a letter for channel # (A being 1, B 2 and so on) then a percentage value to set it to.
Is there any interest in the group doing extra inputs in that kind of facility?

It sounds like a great idea mwm and I am surprised that no one has bothered to respond to you after all the hard work you do around here

Hi,
completely missed that topic. I would say it's a great idea to add inputs this way! Especially if having the audio module attached to the trainer port one would have the possibility to add switches/pots anyway (or vice versa). Implementation via arduino as before or might there be an even easier way to do?
Cheers

Hey, nice to see you here!
Wondering why extra inputs via usb seem to be not really requested!? I think it's a great idea! Perhaps some folks missed the topic though (like me )
