If we continoue like this, i think i will never make up my mind. This 4in1 looks even more promising than everything else till now. I think i will only purchase the DEVO 10 for the time being and keep reading this thread (although i only understand what you are talking about half of the time). Thank you for the info.

I didn't mean anything bad about you or anyone else. Just that sometimes the conversation is so technical that i can't keep up with all the terms and info.

I have a 7e that has an MCU upgrade (ultimate 7e). I have been struggling to get any additional RF module to work with it. I have tried single nrf and a7105 as well as a 3 in 1. I have tried powering the modules externally, always get module not found. The range modded internal module has worked the whole time

I purchased another 7e and just installed the 3 in 1 module yesterday it worked like a champ. I then transferred it back to the ultimate 7e and it didn't work so back to the stock 7e and it works fine. Is it a fair deduction to assume that the mcu installation on the ultimate 7e has issues? I haven't been able to get any module to respond on the TMS(a13) or TCK(a14) pins. I was thinking about trying to connect to the processor again with my ST-Link just to see if there is functionality on those two pins. This last trial with the 3 in 1 I didn't try using an external power source.

I have a spare mcu that I could use to replace the mcu on the ultimate 7e. What are the chances an mcu replacement would resolve the issue.

i'd check for good connectivity on all of the existing mcu pins first, as that might be the only issue

It's kind of both, the 4-in-1 replaces the original board and just requires three additional wires connecting for switching protocol (It also one requires one aerial).

First of all I want to thank this wonderful community, I was a lurker since last year and finally purchased 7e 4 months ago. After months of using it with my scisky I decided to follow this thread and bought the 3 in 1 instead since the 4in1 has some issues before, and I thought it would be an overkill for me to use 4in1. I was up for the challege and I finally started the range mod and module installation today. It was a freaking 5 hrs work including devo setup and model setup!!!

The range mod was hard but the soldering pin 13 was insanely brutal! I was using a magnifying lens and its still hard to see. Good thing I got multimeter to check for continuity and possible unwanted connections.

After the surgery all is working including the range mod. I also upgraded to v5 deviation. Very proud of my self lols.

What I think is very very usefull before doing this:
1. Kapton tape
2. Multimeter with continuity tester
3. Thinnest soldering lead
4. Magnifying glass
5. Lots of patience

This is the module I bought: goo.gl/hXeC2U

Did you have 4in1 installed? Does it work as expected?

I contacted the seller a few days ago and he said it is available for shipping.

It works perfectly with everything I've tried binding it with so far (Hubsan H107D, Syma X5C, DSM2/DSMX full range receivers and satellites of various brands).

Edit: If you are getting one directly from Ren, you may have to use Bhiner if you are in the USA, because Ren can only accept Alipay.

Tested mine with Hubsan quads, Blade Nano CP S, Walkera Super CP, EYE One Xtreme (Lemon RX) and a borrowed Syma X8C. I have a XK K110 on the way too :)
