If we continoue like this, i think i will never make up my mind. This 4in1 looks even more promising than everything else till now. I think i will only purchase the DEVO 10 for the time being and keep reading this thread (although i only understand what you are talking about half of the time). Thank you for the info.

I didn't mean anything bad about you or anyone else. Just that sometimes the conversation is so technical that i can't keep up with all the terms and info.

I purchased another 7e and just installed the 3 in 1 module yesterday it worked like a champ. I then transferred it back to the ultimate 7e and it didn't work so back to the stock 7e and it works fine. Is it a fair deduction to assume that the mcu installation on the ultimate 7e has issues? I haven't been able to get any module to respond on the TMS(a13) or TCK(a14) pins. I was thinking about trying to connect to the processor again with my ST-Link just to see if there is functionality on those two pins. This last trial with the 3 in 1 I didn't try using an external power source.
I have a spare mcu that I could use to replace the mcu on the ultimate 7e. What are the chances an mcu replacement would resolve the issue.

The range mod was hard but the soldering pin 13 was insanely brutal! I was using a magnifying lens and its still hard to see. Good thing I got multimeter to check for continuity and possible unwanted connections.
After the surgery all is working including the range mod. I also upgraded to v5 deviation. Very proud of my self lols.
What I think is very very usefull before doing this:
1. Kapton tape
2. Multimeter with continuity tester
3. Thinnest soldering lead
4. Magnifying glass
5. Lots of patience
This is the module I bought: goo.gl/hXeC2U

Edit: If you are getting one directly from Ren, you may have to use Bhiner if you are in the USA, because Ren can only accept Alipay.
