problem solved.
have to set freq-coarse to +127 and freq-fine to 15.
very strange as never have to touch the coarse setting so far for all my four cc2500 modules, three 3in1 and the first batch of 4in1

There are so many different combinations, how did you try it out? +127 and +15
Many guys have binding problem with CC2500 relatives protocol frsky/s-fhss , have no idea how to find a good method to find correctly setting.
Thanks.

what i used to do is starting from zero, i try to change the freq-fine setting in a step of 50 in both directions until successfully binded.
after binding, i start to shift the setting on each side to locate the mid point.
only this time i have to also do the same move on freq-coarse

i've not tried any of my d or x series rx's yet, when i broke my original 7e i lost all my model.ini's and i didn;t have a backup, so i'll need to find time to reprogram everything. i'll pull out a d series tonight and try to bind though. this issue (it was victzh or hexfet found this out, I can't fully remember which) is caused by the crystal frequency being used in the modules, if they use a frequency that isn't matched well you end up needing to adjust the freq-fine/course to find the correct setting

If we really want to go down to 4.2V, the original LDO would be in trouble too. I am using 2S LiPo. I won't let it go below 6V.

Great work cmpang,I just put a 3in1 in my devo 10 from the current batch from banggood and it doesn't give me the bind option only the reinit, when I press enter nothing happens. Can you please tell me how I can access the freq-coarse to change the settings to +125 and few fine to 15.I greatly appreciate it,I'm sought of a noobie in fact that's an overstatement, lol.

there is no guarantee those settings will work for your module bud, or be the best settings. how you set them is go into the model menu, scroll down untill s-fhss is highlighted then press enter, then change the freq 20 at at time and try and bind, keep repeating this until it binds if you get to +127 and it doesn't bind go back to 0 and start changing by -20, once it finally binds write down the number. then keep changing it by 20 until it no longer binds again and write down the number that it last bound at. then you set it to a number in the middle of those two. say for instance the first bind was at +10 and the last bind was at +80 you would set it at +45. start this method with freq fine, if if never binds at all while changing freq fine only then move on to trying freq course.

Thank you very much for the fast fb,for some reason my FHSS protocol does nothing when I go to it and press ent and doesn't bring up options, btw I'm running 5.0,

you'll need to update to a nightly build bud, this issue is a recent thing and the frequency changing options were only added recently

Yes double h,did that still doesn't bind tried both coarse and fine both ways by 20 + and- to no avail.I dialed up the skyartech protocol and it gives me the option to bind but doesn't enable it when I press enter is this protocol also attached to cc2500?Also my bind I'd for futaba is 1111 is that ok?All fb is greatly appreciated was really hoping to bind my xk251 to this protocol to fly it with the 10.

Well, that solved my issues with the 3in1 as well.
Didn't bind at all. After changing the freq fine it bound from 20-80. Now with set to 50 it binds fine with all my RX.
Is there a doc. about the freq fine and course parameters, what exactly do they do?
BTW. would be nice to have defaults for the parameters in the hardware or tx conf file. hope i will remember that i set it to 50 when i create a new model in the future...

There are actually two different ways to tune the frequency of the TX. One is supposed to tune in larger steps, another - in finer ones. I borrowed the mechanism from FrSky implementation. To keep you once set parameters as default would not be correct - it depends on the ratio between TX's and RX's crystals.

I suspect the correct defaults will depend on the protocol, if not the manufacturer. So setting defaults for the RF Module wouldn't be all that useful, even if we had a place for it. What we really need are a place to put protocol specific default settings.
Have you tried putting the protocol & settings in a template and loading that? I don't think it would work, but it's certainly worse a look.
Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

So, can someone confirm, the new 3in1 batch that banggood sells, has the LNA problem fixed or not? Also what is this new problem (about binding) you discuss about? Does it occure only with the 3in1 or it occures with any CC2500 module used in any form, even with the stand alone cc2500 or the mutlimodule?

When trying to identify the bind frequency,do I use an rx in my case its the xk x251 because I was trying to bind with the tx alone,w/out the model (rx recipient being on)maybe that is the reason I couldn't get it to bind.Any fb is greatly appreciated.

Hi all!
I'm about to go for either a Devo 10 or Devo 12E but have not decided yet. Any recommendations with the 4in1 module in mind?
I look forward to what victzh is doing, that adapter board for the 4in1 module looks promising. I wanna buy such a one as soon as it's possible
I'll keep looking here.

I just tried my devo version 4in1 with both my rx-f801 and rx-f802 frsky protocol rx's and both bound no problem without requiring any freq fine/course changes at all, but I'm having some issues with my xk x100 and the s-fhss protocol that I'm going to have to look into when I have more time, but basically I can get it to bind from freq-fine +22 up to freq-fine +97, but once I swap the quads battery, power cycle or press re-init on the tx it wont re-bind again unless I go into the options and move freq-fine up or down 1 digit, very strange :/

I do not like these mega threads. too many discussions going on in parallel. I'm apt to lock this one.
HH, what you describe sounds like an initialization problem where the frequency is not properly reinitilaiized. you need to post in the apropriate protocol thred to get that debugged.
