What do you think of sorting the protocols by alphabet (maybe grouped by rf module)? I personally hate the chaos when scrolling through the options...

You'll learn the order eventually. IMO there's so much more important projects (of all sizes) this will never get done even if the community did agree...

They're already in order by module type anyway. All your CYRF protocols first then NRF and CC2500 and A7105

It's not that hard but I'm afraid this will be disruptive - people get used to the order by RF modules. Inside these blocks they can be reordered by alphabet, this is very easy.

I wouldn't care about the "RF module order" if I had a 4-in-1 module, or at least there is the * if the protocol is not supported
by my TX.
However I don't really like the alphabet order either, mainly because those are mostly not protocol names but model names, and that order woud give me a lot of unusable (at least for me) protocols in the first place.
I would definitely start the list with the mainstream protocols, just like it is now...
