Devo 7e part identification assistance was created by darthnugget
Well, I did my first mod and it seems I let the smoke out of a part on the Devo 7e board. I have circled it here in the picture. What part is this and where can I buy a new one?

On mine it has a burn mark right in the middle so I cant see what letters are on it. Your help would be appreciated.

After looking around online I think the part is a 1N5819W diode or possibly a B5819W diode. I dont have a good enough image that shows the markings on it other than the "SL" I can make out on some images in this forum.

Thank you. I think it is a Schottky Diode B5819W so I ordered a couple for a few bucks. If anyone else frys theirs let me know I will have some spares. Should be here Friday and hope it works.

Any idea what this thing is for? I know without it the CYrf module doesn't power up. Looking at the traces it is connecting to that larger trace that I know connects to ground for the CYRF module pin 7.

Would you be able to measure the voltage on either side of the diode for me? I want to confirm the drop it makes when powered with the 4x aa batteries. I have seen a diagram that shows the anode side should be +5v but there is no mention of the cathode side (side with line).

On the side with the line I get 4.6v, on the other side I get 4.87v. Battery is at 5.3v
