What's model 1a? Was it just a left over before the directory got zipped up?

PB:
If it works then it works. If it doesn't work, you'll see the telemetry data turn red (devo8) or inversed(devo10) I think. I am not sure how to detect which module is in your TX. There probably is some way, but I don't know it.

I have replaced my Devo8 module with a Devo8s last year and this morning ordered 2 more 8s units to upgrade my 7e. As soon as they get here I'll open both and compare them, perhaps we can find an easy way to determine when a module is Telemetry capable (reliable) and when it is not.

So... a few little things now that I debugged that trainer switch issue... ;)

- My screen calibration was completely backwards. Here's the touch section of my tx.ini for reference:
  xscale=-262144
  yscale=159565
  xoffset=928
  yoffset=-38

- After calibrating the sticks, the throttle at lowest point shows 98-99% if I press it down a little it does hit 100%

- Voltage shows over 5 volts... 1 cell pack should be max 4.2 right?

- Just an interesting thing. When I touch the screen, the voltage drops by about 0.2 volts.

- I already miss having the media folder. I like having a custom background.

I do have to say what an impressive display when you look at the inputs monitor page!!! :)

PB, you're the best! I'm not going to log any of these as tickets yet, as I'm sure your aware of most of them, and I've only just started testing.

Really awesome work... Cheers again!

I haven' calibrated the voltage yet as you've noticed

I didn't try to put sane values into the touch sensor calibration either.

You can modify the media folder. just put your files in the devo8/media dir and run 'make TARGET=devo12 fs' to create the dfu. I will be releasing an exe that will create the dfu from a directory (and maybe vice-versa) before I make the official release as well. It isn't as convenient as the devo8, but unless I want to implement wear-leveling, there isn't much more I can do at this point. By the way, I'd love to implement wear-leveling...It would remove the one thing about the devo12 that is worse than the devo 6/7e/8/10 (unable to use USB for /media). But there are other things to do 1st.

I'm also aware that there is no contrast/brightness adjustment even though the display supports it.

And yes 'model1a' is there because I built directly from my development area, and it is a left over file.

PPM out not working. I did not use the debug dfu file. It's not working with Phoenix at least. Haven't tried with my anylink module yet.

I'm not using any adapter on the Phoenix cable, and it works like that in deViation on devo8, as well as walkera std firmware on devo12.

Isn't it a debug build where PPM out is used for connecting a terminal or works it different with Devo12?

Not sure but thats why I mentioned it. I see there is a debug zip included in the build and I did not use that one.

the 'debug' zip is actually not something you install on your tx. It is a set of files you send back to me along with errors.txt if you get a reboot. Generally speaking for files I build, this isn't necessary, since I already have them, but if you build your own or get them from someone else, they make it possible for me to understand the contents of errors.txt.
This is meant to help identify and fix the non-reproducible reboots.

The PPM issue is not one I knew about, though it is now obvious, since I didn't actually code support for it :) I'll get it fixed soon.

Small update,

on the Devo6 with deViation Firmware, telemetry works >50m.
That's enough for the Mini CP anyway.

Sorry, capturing your topic.

Thanks PB. I thought maybe I needed to read another manual... :S

And thanks for the explanation of that zip file.

Well...I spent a couple hours today, and I can't figure out why the ADC converters are so noisy.
On my devo8 the ADC value is ~+/-1 bit
On the devo12 the ADC value is ~+/4 bits
Until i figure out what is going on, that makes flying with the Devo12 basically impossible. It is really weird as the noise is really uniform across those 4 bits.

I've tried everything I can think of, and so far nothing has affected the noise level at all. There is obviously something I'm missing as it works fine in the Walkera firmware.
It is really frustrating me so far though.

Hi Omija

The Deviation V3 comes with a DFU firmware file loaded with the DFuse tool and a File System that needs to be copied via USB to the devo12. There is no Lib in Deviation.

Please make sure you follow the manual for upgrading to Deviation: www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-2

I don't think the official V2.1 had support for Devo12, only some of the test versions might have. I might be wrong, maybe Hex will remember?

We are currently in the process of setting up the big screen, but it is not yet officially supported. Hexperience/rbe may have some builds that implement the larger screen, but they aren't yet part of the main release as we're still discussing the implementation. Version 3.1 will have support for the large screen though and it won't be too long from now.

I guess 2.1 was my version and it was intended only for testing the gui - I have no Devo12 and could not test if it will run...
As PB said... just some patience... 3.1 will bring you a big step forward.

EDIT: Oops - just noticed that it was not my build, but PBs... so don't fear using it.

I've used this build for a Quad, 600 Heli & a 3D ship with no re-boots or range issues.
www.deviationtx.com/forum/builds/1401-de...new-widescreen-build
Some little quirks, (mostly screen calibration related)but overall it works for me.
I should also mention that I was using DSMX receivers. AR600, AR7610 & AR8000 in the above flying toys.
