can somebody explain to me how to back up the model files please.
I had the nightly build and had updated to the latest nightly build.
1. Formatting USB
2. Update firmware using dfuse
3. Copy "protocol" from the new nightly build to USB
4. Copy the content of "filesystem" to USB. (layout, models, modelico, media, template, datalog.bin, errors and TX.ini)
5. Open TX.ini with notepad and enable the modules
Devo 7e works fine at this moment.
6. Copying the saved "models" from the old nightly build from my computer to the USB "models"
Devo 7e shows now "bad/protocol missing"
If i try to open the TX.ini i get only a blank window.
What is wrong?
Thanks in advance.

btw, I don't quite get what you mean by "If i try to open the TX.ini i get only a blank window."
What do you use to open it?
And for "bad/protocol missing", try copying the whole protocol folder into USB again, and you must use the protocol from the same nightly build version.

I am always using Notepad++ and Win 8.1. Blank window means the Notepad window is white, nothing else. No letters, no words or signs. Like an empty white sheet of paper. Only for the case after i have copied the saved model files to the USB.
I have used the protocol from the updated Nightly build

Then you should be able to edit tx.ini in Notepad++ without problems
also do you have any tx.ini backup? what if you copy your backup file into USB? Can you open it to edit too?

As described anything goes well from point 1 to 5. Iam able to edit Tx.ini.
But after point 6, after copied the saved model files from my computer to the USB the problem starts. I have only saved the Model files. No backup from tx.ini or protocol.

This doesn't make sense, copying models file won't corrupt tx.ini
or you can try copying model[n].ini fies one by one instead of the whole "models" folder?
can you also make a screen capture of the content in 7e USB?

1. Formatting USB
2. Update firmware using dfuse
3. Copy whole "protocol Folder" from the new nightly build to to root of USB
4. Copy the content of "filesystem/devo7e/ copy to root" to USB. (layout, models, modelico, media, template, datalog.bin, errors and TX.ini)
5. Open TX.ini with notepad and enable the modules
Devo 7e works fine at this moment.

Devo 7e shows now "bad/protocol missing" << perhaps your over writing your protocol folder with old one.
If i try to open the TX.ini i get only a blank window. <<sounds like its blank all ready.
What is wrong?
Thanks in advance.
