Wouldn't it be better to do first tests with blades or props off that way you can be extra safe. And Victzh great work thumbs up!
How to determine if I've NRF+ or not?

@dc59, you can't find it because there is none. It has 4 channels plus idle up flag which makes heli to change its internal throttle and pitch curves. At least that's how I understood it from the document translation.

@joeclone, you've probably have nRF+, I've never seen just nRF. They were phased out several years ago, so the probability is very low.

If you're curious, you can try to read the marking on a chip, it should read nRF24L01+, plus is very small, so have a good magnifier.

Programmatically nRF24L01 and nRF24L01+ are indistinguishable, which would be problematic if I ever saw nRF34L01 in the wild.

Is that mean I have no chance to change throttle and pitch curve in the future?
that's really bad news ~

Hi victzh,
Nightly build 91301b7(May 11) works OK.
But the servo movement is not so smooth, sometime it looks stocked around 0.5sec.
The channel setting seems something wrong, I set timer switch on ch3(THR) it not works, it must be set to ch1(AIL);On devo 7e,power on the TX it will show CH1 is 0%,safty value is -100%.
Thanks again for great job. :)

Hey Victzh is it really true that throttle and pitch curves are not programmable on the tx, does swash setup values effect it's total pitch range?

Yes, it happened to me as well. This sticking is characteristic not for all TX ids, I believe I use some of the frequencies the receiver can't use for some reason. I will investigate more.

WRT channel mapping - the protocol is defined as TAERG, so it may be conflicts with default mapping. Remap it in Mixers menu.

@joeclone, pitch and throttle are bound to each other - you can't have totally separate pitch and throttle curves.

So what does this mean in the Devo menus? It doesn't matter what value you put in the collective?

I suppose (I still need to check) that the collective mixing for this heli is also done in RX, so it uses TAER directly. What happens, is when you turn on "Idle Up" it flattens its throttle curve and makes the pitch curve span to negative (harder than in "Normal"). You can make a model file with Idle Up switch (say, FMODE) simultaneously switch the heli's Idle Up channel (Channel 7) and pages in Complex mixer so that you have combined Throttle/Pitch curve have an Expo, for example. But you can not change relation between these curves.

I'll try to make a reasonable model with all these things active and publish it here and in Models subforum.

Hi, is it worth buying the Rtf version or the BNF is ok with the actual .ini file ? Thank you for your feedback :-)

I have a problem using the V977 rx board with my Devo 10, I can get it to bind but I can't get one of the aileron servo to reverse. As previously mentioned there's no separate pitch channel so does this mean both aileron servos are tied to one common channel? How do I reverse one of the servo direction?

How is it possible to make hover debugging to work with Deviation? It is enabled by a push of a button with the stock tx.

Have you tried doing it when you build up the code?

Frankly, no. The SPI traces were provided to me by ansheng, so I opened my TX but did not even solder to it. I will check this button when I get to soldering to it.

I attached my model file for V977 if you still need it.
