Roughly based on OpenTX Amber voice I generated a voice set with 155 custom messages. It is available for download
here
.
Please note the current build is limited to 240 mp3 files, of which 150 are already used by global alerts, numbers and units. The next nightly build will have this limit increased to 400.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Has anyone tried the Taranis speaker?

The voice alerts not working with the latest nightly..I installed it and now if i select the voice config is says "External voice not available"
I formatted ect...like always and replaced the mp3 file on the SD card but still no joy..
Does the library.dfu on the nightly include to voice.ini ?

I have also not been able to get the new Large Voice Pack MP3 folder to work (posted on 5/3). I just updated the nightly to the 5/10 release, deviation-devo12e-v5.0.0-31fcd0d, added the new voice.ini and copied over the MP3 folder to my dfplayer chip. When I try to select a sound for the switches the selector show the entry for 201, but then 0, and those are the only choices for any of the switches... I didn't try any other sounds. I replaced the MP3 folder and voice.ini with the working ones from 3/16
and they appear to work.
Have your updates for more sound files been included in the new nightlies?

I found a source for small Micro SD cards that are pretty perfect for the voice files.
This microSD chip
is 128MB, and since the MP3 folder total size is under 2mb, it's more than sufficient for an internal sound board.

You are right, I did the voice pack without testing....shouldn't do that, but I was lazy
Next nightlies should work fine, at least it does in the emulator.

Latest nightly works but don't use the Library.dfu it doesn't contain the voice.ini i had to regenerate another one to get the voice alerts working...Is there any plans in the future for the library.dfu files to already have the voice.ini mapping included or are we going to have to regenerate them each time there is a new voice.ini update?

Magic_marty, I fully adhere to the idea, including a 'default' voice.ini, would help.
For the moment I am hesitating to load other nightly versions, because of the this.
I am flashing the latest nighlies with a Linux PC, and then have to dig out a Windows PC to generate the librery.dfu

Hi guys this is getting a very lengthy read;
Is it possible to edit update, the first post of this topic, with the latest instructions / how to setup?
So anyone could more easily start into beta testing and using voice?

There is a WIKI page in process, and I will add my notes. There are two elements to address, I think, first how does the hardware connect, and second how do you add the functionality to your Devo software. If you can think of any specific questions, or additional categories, please add them here!
