SLH Scorpion transparent background

Hi guys, a final one for you this evening, an icon for the SLH Scorpion with a transparent background.

This is an awesome icon on my 12S.

I am trying to make icons for my own crafts, and cannot seem to get them to work. I have taken photos of each, and saved them to *.jpg to start.

From your image, I think the size is 96x96, format is *.bmp, depth is 8bits. I have tried using an Alpha channel in Photoshop to get the transparency to work, and I end up with a light blue'ish box around my craft.

Also, the actual picture of my craft for the icon looks horrible on the 12S.

Any assistance or file parameters for creating the icons would be greatly appreciated.
