Walkera 4#3b Icon was created by digitracer
This is just the icon for the 4#3b.
As soon as I have found a proper setting I will post it as well. Meanwhile, if someone has a "stable" setup I would be glad to see about.

Edit: The Background is transparent - not that dark blue as it looks like!.

You can upload the BMP itself, however it have to contain the correct MIME type to be allowed to upload...

I have noticed the mime type problem on the recent icon post already. Maybe I am too dump, but I can't set a mime type on exporting bmp files in Gimp.
To what I have read, mime types are being set within htaccess files as a rewrite rule, so that the mime type for all allowed file types this way could be set by default. But I am not an internet specialist.

Gimp exports into other grafic formats like gif or jpg are uploadable. If I save a bmp file with MS Paint it is uploadable as well but the 16bit format created will not be displayed in Deviation.
I'm using Gimp 2.8 Looks like Photoshop is the only program thas does the job! :(

Actually the BMP created by GIMP works in the tx, the MIME type only needed by the forum engine to allow uploading...

Yes the Gimp bmp files work very well in TX, even with transparency, no problems.
The strange thing is, that the forum recognized a MIME type "()" which is not allowed, while if you look at the file settings in windows it is declared as bmp-file. A touch too much for me. :silly:
This is why I have chosen to zip the bmp file before uploading.

Finally I've got the Gimp 2.8 export produce uploadable bmp-files.
The trick is that you'll have to go into "compatibility options" on top of the "advanced options" and set a mark into the checkbox "do not write...". Thats it! :woohoo: Life can be so easy!
Previous versions of Gimp don't have this new export function doing the job on their "save as" function without this little extra.
Maybe it would be worth mentioning in the sticky instructions thread?

Thanks. I updated the instructions.
I'd recommend updating your original postto include the bmp itself rather than the zip file. It makes it faster when searchig for icons.
