@moeder,

In the 'telemetry configuration' screen, it is possible to set alarms to '1s@xxx', '2s@xxx', '3s@xxx', ...
I suppose it is to get the telemetry alarms every 1s, 2s, 3s ...

But in that case, I have no alarms at all.

Sorry to extend your 'to-do' list.

1s 2s etc are delay conditional time before alarm is sounded, eg. battery LV will not sound until it has been low for more than 1s, 2s,etc. if value to trigger alarm goes back to non-alarm state before x seconds alarm will be cancelled.

Thanks, Gery for the explanation.

Is there no way to get a more frequent telemetry alarm? Or continuous vario alarms possible ?

Check your setting for telemetry alert interval in transmitter config menu.

Thank, well understood the difference now, would be nice to have both options (duration of the alarm and repetition time) for each telemetry alarm .:side:

What do you mean by that? Alarm duration should only be dependent on the length of the voice file or the buzzer music in sound.ini

No, what I mean is, in this case with G-RX8, that it would be possible to get telemetry of the variometer every second (buzzer) and for the altitude every 30 seconds and RSSI if lower than x during 5 sec.

OK, you mean an alert specific interval time. Would be easy to do, unfortunately it requires some work on the monochrome screen transmitters to make the new options fit the tight screen. Telemetry settings page is already full, for fitting the conditional time(xs@yyy) I already opted for a solution which is not quite in line with the general interface usage of deviation.

Hello
I am very interested in this topic. I have received my Frsky G-RX8 and am waiting for my 4in1 Banggood module.
Moeder, is there a version for the devo 12s of the build you posted page 1 ?

About Vario sound, I am dreaming of a "true" vario sound, with a frequency and tone of the sound varying in function of the vertical speed...active or not with a switch...

I am not used to the Mymedia use. I suppose that if I use it for voice.ini I must make a lib.dfu without it. If no, what would be taken in count ?

Regards
Morlacus

Hi Morlacus,

please find attached the devo12s with the fix for device=xxx settings in sound.ini. If you also feel it works fine I will go ahead and submit a pull request for nightlies. It'll be probably a few more weeks before the new voice menu is ready for testing.

Thanks a lot Moeder.
I just received my 4in1 module today and installed it.I have linked it for te c2500 and my G-RX8 is binded.:cheer:
I will test now your build.
I want also to test the mymedia file which seems very simple. Is it necessary to take my sound, voice, toggle out of the lib when I put them in the mymedia file ?
Regards

No, you don't need to. mymedia contents will override the library files.

Hello,
I have installed the new build.
The "device=buzzer" works.
I put an alarm for the vario for which the alarm is constant (> -1) when the rx is on a table. The box blinks red rapidly on the telemetry screen, but I have only got a sound every 15 seconds.
That is far too slow.
If I had got a sound every second I would try to have 5 sounds for 1 second in the sound.ini. But 15 seconds is too much
Regards.

Same advice for you: check the telemetry alert interval in transmitter config menu.

Thanks for the advice. It works !
I should have read all the post with more attention...
That makes an operable vario sound.
And for other alarms use the xs@xxx feature.
The next step would be more individualisation of the alerts intervals and if possible at the model level
and a true vario sound....
Good job anyway !

Another question about using Frsky G-RX8 receiver with the Frsky x protocol on my devo 12s
All seems good but I cannot reset the telemetry altitude. Each time I bind the rx the altitude is 15 m or so.
Is it a way to reset this value to zero ?
Thanks for help.

Hello

I have noticed that when the device=buzzer is used, once the buzzer works some voice messages are cut. For chrono messages, the chrono message is there but the time is not announced.
I have noticed that with the Telemetry one message on buzzer.
All simple message work as usual.
