Jumper T8SG custom splash screen was created by Freakert

Hello,

I am trying to create a custom splash screen for a Jumper T8SG plus but i am horribly failing at it.
What sizes, filetype etc etc do i need to successfully create my own splash screen file?

What i tried so far:
Using Corel draw save the file in several sizes as a BMP file.
Same thing using Paint.

What am i doing wrong?
