Walkera QR Ladybird accelerometer calibration was created by vlad_vy
You must set the trimmers in Tx to neutral, release the fixed ID, perform auto-bind, and then a test flight. If quadrocopter drifts forward, put a couple of sheets of paper under the front legs, repeat the auto-bind. The same applies to any other direction. It is desirable to achieve minimal drift with zero trimmers. After obtaining a satisfactory result, the last time perform auto-bind on selected sheets of paper and then immediately bind with a fixed ID.

I don't have any trouble with mine, simply using the trims if needed, however I don't use it to hover in place...

It's started from the case when I tried to compensate rotation by rudder trimmer. After every auto-bind I needed again and again compensate rotation in one drection. When I realized that I have trimming with value 3% of channel travel, I understand that something is wrong. Auto-binding compensate/zeroize any existing trimming.

With Fixed ID you have not this problem.
Now, after accelerometers calibration and then setup Fixed ID, I almost haven't drift at any direction (and rudder also), with zero trimmers in Tx.

This is why I requested digital value of trimmers at main screen. I was able to see this abnormal value only at channel monitor.

Hello,
I have a QR ladybird and a Devo 8s. I need a subtrim forward of 10 % approx to have a correct flight.
Is the method of calibration you propose possible whith the deviation software or also with the standard soft ?
What is the function of the sheets of paper in the process ?
Thanks for your reply

It's works with any firmware. Sheets of paper serves for leveling QR Ladybird in time of calibration.

Hello Vlad_vy
Thanks a lot for your fast reply. I tried the process but had no success (no change at all) even when puttig the legs of the ladybird on a rather hight step (1 cm). But may be I dont understand what you mean by "perform auto-bind" . Is it more than switching the LB on and the TX on and waiting for the binding ?
Best regards
Morlacus

Auto-bind = without Fixed ID. I'm not 100% confident that this process works, but it helps me. Possible you have other problem, 10% of trim it's a lot.
I used at most 6 sheets of paper.

I have the same problem! No diferrence about calibration with auto-bind.
I put the backarms of the Ladybird on a 1 cm step. No difference.
I am using a Devo 7e out of the box, no firmware.
Are there any other settings which i have to pay attention?
LED red or green for example?
It is my first Ladybird and my first Devo 7e. Just one day old.
Please, can you make a step by step explanation of this Procedure about accelerometer calibration and IP-binding?
Best regards Uwe

Walkera QR Ladybird accelerometer calibration
1. Clear Ladybird Fixed ID with bind plug.
2. Reset all Tx trims and subtrims to zero.
3. Place Ladybird on perfectly level surface.
4. Switch on Tx and (in 10 sec) connect flight battery to Ladybird. Wait auto-bind and initialization (solid red LED).
5. Perform test flight.
6. If Ladybird drifts forward, place a couple sheets of paper under the front legs, repeat steps 4 and 5. The same applies to any other direction. It is desirable to achieve minimal drift with zero trimmers.
7. After obtaining the satisfactory result, the last time perform auto-bind on selected sheets of paper and then immediately bind with a Fixed ID.
If you have any unusual Ladybird behaviour, clear Ladybird Fixed ID with bind plug. Usually it helps.

I have asked my dealer about calibration of the accelerometer of the Ladybird.
He says there is no possibility to calibrate it.
Maybe he is right.
I have tried auto-bind and fixed id binding.
Nothing has changed.
Only trimming is possible in my case.
From where did you get the information about calibrating?

I discovered it by self. For me, with two QR Ladybird v1 it works. Trimming with auto-bind mode is useless, it can be used with Fixed ID only.
Possible QR Ladybird V2 has other behaviour, but I have not V2.
