7e/Ultimate7e, adding the devo version 4in1
- ursus69

I installed a 4in1 a Devo10, and a DevoU7e.
I have good range in 30mw with my dsmx inductrix & devo10 4in1, but with my u7e with the same antenna and 30mw, I have bad range.
What could be the problem? Any solution?

Per HappyHarry I used his pigtail and antennae suggestion as well.
Anyone have any ideas of what the problem may be? Do I need to flash something?

Thanks for responding RobC62. Yes I did remove the cyrf module. Here is my hardware.ini file

I mesured the voltages. I have 3v and 5v.
I tried to connect with the two option with the same result....Bad range...
Any solution? Idea??

I connected the 4in1 to the diode (5v), but I also had bad range...

have you checked the 7e antenna on your d10 to rule it out? also worth checking that the u.fl connector is seated properly and not damaged. is it all protocols you have bad range with?
but as I already said you have other issues, the stock RF module has it's own 3.3v vreg and needed >3.6v to provide 3.3v to the chips, hence there only being 1 diode between vbat and the header. I'd be looking to solve this issue before worrying about range as that tx isn't really safe to fly with as is imo

Hi HappyHarry!
Range solved! I using a new pigtail antenna like this: www.banggood.com/10cm-PCI-UFL-IPX-to-RPS...33.html?rmmds=search and have the range problem...
I changed with a coaxial cable pigtail, and the range solved!!
You say that I have to change the diode? What diode??
Thanks again HappyHarry!!

Maybe there was a quality issue with your first installed pigtail. One never knows until testing.
I had this with my 7e, one day easy going within 600m, the next day failsafe at 300m, crash..
Never found out what was going on there, everything on the module was tight and secure attached and the rx
was ok.
The genuine Frsky gear never failed.......until now.

I'm going to check the pigtail and the voltages and if they all look ok will try a different pigtail.
Could you post a link to the one you have that is working, thanks

HH,
What diode need to verify? Or change?
Thanks again!

I don't know if my last antenna was broken or bad....but this new works better for me.
In bangoodd don't have.... I found it in ebay
Hard to find these RG178 / Ipex things. Found one RG 137, but mostly for a RG178 search a pigtail with RG113 pops up.
Would you please check your order a post the source?
