Where the Heck is the RF Chip? was created by C0ckpitvue 777
I'm trying to take captures for a bad little micro that's been rebranded, the original name was the yifei Phantom which is called now the the sproutoy Phantom. The tx is different and so is the protocol.I'm trying to take capture but don't see a rf chip to solder the jumper wires. If anyone can assist and is familiar with this kind of t.x please chime in.I attached a few screen shots..

I'd connect the analyzer to these pins and gnd to battery pack -

That's not the RF chip (that's the smaller one) but that should be easier to solder wires to this one.
Also, I'd remove this screw that almost connects a pin of the MCU to the crystal of the transceiver :P

Looking at how the antenna and the crystal are connected to the transceiver, and the very few passive parts around it, that could be a LT8910 :(

Still, if it's running @ 1Mbps or 250kbps in NRZ line coding mode and FEC disabled it might be possible to emulate it ...

This is a test capture,I followed your pinout and put the ground to the battery ground..

Mission failed, lol.I must of put to much heat on the pad because when I turn on the t.x. now it's just a solid led,no blinking binding indicator.I destroyed like 3 t.x trying to get captures from this.I will look for another t.x for it although there are 2 different protocols,if anybody has any of them, the sproutoy phantom or the yifei phantom,iI truly encourage you to take captures to get this deviated. It flies like a more bionic durable version of the jj1000.If anyone can link me to a place of purchase it will be greatly appreciated...

Do not turn power on until you are sure there are no solder bridges ;)

Also, better remove the batteries while you're soldering.

Now that you have some dead boards, use them to practice soldering wires to those tiny legs ...
Tip: use 30awg stranded silicone wires (doesn't melt...) and 0.5mm leaded soldering wire (Sn60Pb40).
Always get a good brand for the soldering wire, never buy it from the usual cheap websites ;)

Anyway, I wouldn't waste too much time on this one, I'm almost sure that's a LT8910 ...
