Help Config trex 450 pro v2 DFC with 3gx and dsm2

Hi i have a trex 450 pro v2 DFC and devo 8s with the following

3GX with 2 spectrum DSM2 sats
WK-CTL01-D telemetry with rpm sensor
KST DS215MG servo's
Pheonix ice 50
Scorpion HKII-221 brushless
Turnigy nano-tech 22v 1300mAh 6S1P 35~70C Lipo
all alloy upgrades

I decided to go with the devo 8s so i could use the one tx for other helli's, So far i have used this www.deviationtx.com/forum/model-configs/...walkera-2702v-3-axis for my setup.

I can get it to bind with out a problem but the servo's just aren't right.

any help would be appreciated

When i move up on the throttle my collective pitch moves up slightly then back to centre when i reach mid way then repeats the same till i reach the top.

With DSM2 the channel order is different.
1-Throttle
2-Aileron
3-Elevator
4-Rudder
5-Gyro
6-Collective Pitch

I'm not sure about the 3gx, but for the FBL units I've used, you don't do any mixing in the radio. i.e. you don't use cyclic1,2,3.

I'l post my blade 300x config in another thread. Have a look at it and you can use it as a base to get started.

The config you posted has the channels in the wrong order.
When you select DSM2 as the protocol the channel order is set to match spektrum dsm. Which is what I posted last post.

So that's the first problem.

Second problem is the most fbl units do the ccpm mixing for you so you do not need to have the 8s setup for cyclic mixing. Just straight aileron (ch2),elevator(ch3) and pitch(ch6). ch1 is throttle and ch5 is gyro control. This of course matches up to the DSM protocol and if you have the order wrong, it won't work.

I just upgraded to deviation v2.0.0 with the standard 6 channel template and it is much better than the last version i think it is just the 3GX calibration now will play with it tommorrow and post the results

Thanks Hexperience it was the combination that was wrong and i went back to v1.2 but i did have to do CCPM for the 3gx.

I now have it working for both DSM2 and DSMX satelites just need to do some fine tuning with the 3gx and set channel5 for gyro.

Interesting. I've never had a 3gx to play with. I'll have a look at the manual and check out the recommended tx setup.

with Devo 2.0 you have to define 1 channel more !
if you have a 6 channel receiver you must choose 7 channels in the heli setup menu.

do you mean deviation v2?

yes i mean the new deviation firmware 2.0.

In the protocol setup menu you can also choose the number of channels for the DSM2 protocol. I have a T-Rex 250 with
3GX and sat receiver, and it works fine with selected 7 channels.

I just got the 450 v2 with DFC and 3GX. I also have a devo 8S from my Genius and am looking to fly the 450 with my Devo 8S.
