Devo8s rx802 and Gaui 500x Gu-ins was created by protom
Hi everyone after reading a lot on the forum,
I finally decided to mod my devo8s with the WLToy's v911 transmitter and it works great

But as for my Gaui500X quadra I got the basic setup to work but I have no clue how to set up a switch to switch from manual flight mode to auto balance and GPS
As well as a return home switch
It was working under the normal devo8s firmware but with deviation I can't figure it out

Also after that is set I would love to find a way to move the camera gimbal would it be possible to have a switch that will enable me to control titl and roll control for the gimbal with the two little trims on the two top panels of the remote ?

And lastly does anyone know if I could get telemetry from my gaui500x I know I have it going to my osd but could I have it on the devo8s as well or do I need to get the walkera telemetry module ?

Anyone here could help I would be extremely grateful :-)

Cheers

I don't know how to change it's modes, but if you have the original model file (the .bin one) and you could upload it zipped, or at least you could describe how it was set up, it might help...

You can use the upper trims for the bimbals: set up the trims to effect a two virtual channels (increase the step large enough), and use those virtual channels as sources for two unused real channels.

Yes, for the telemetry you need the telemetry module...

Here is the connection schematics of the GUI so you get a better sense of how it is plugged

So, here is my first try.

- throttle hold on RUD_DR;
- throttle channel has fail safe of -100 (i.e. it cuts the throttle, however if it has go home function, it might be better to use that instead...);
- ELE and AIL have DR with their appropriate switches;
- GEAR switches the go home on the GEAR channel (Ch5);
- FMOD switch should switch manual/auto/gps on the PITCH (AUX1) channel (Ch6);
- upper left trim moves the AUX2 channel (Ch7);
- upper right trim moves the AUX3 channel (Ch8).

If you have a RX801/802 the layout will be:
ELEV: red
AILE: white/red/black
THRO: orange
RUDD: yellow
GEAR: blue
AUX1: green
AUX2: black
AUX3: the other gimbal servo, if you have two of them...

THank you so much everything seems to work fine I had to reverse the ELEV AILE and RUDD channels but all the rest works great

the only thing that doesnt work is the gymbal servo...
it doesnt seem to do anything when I move the trims

Sorry, my bad:
Change Ch7 and Ch8 mixer type from "Simple" to "Complex", and click on the "No Trim" button on them to show "Trim".
