It should in general (pitch curves, throttle curves, gyro gain, reverse settings, travel adjustment, protocol, mode, and other settings) but the 7e has less switches and features like only one stunt mode.
I assume you would only get normal mode and stunt mode one with my devo 10 model.
I don't know what will happen with D/R and Expo as the 7e won't have the switches I assigned them to.
Also if the 7e has switch icons you may have to assign them too.

I loaded it up, it binds fine, throttles up fine, though the tail doesn't hold at all. The heli just spins. It's almost like the rudder is reversed, so I reversed it in the devo but now it just spins the other way.

Does the DR/EXPO work?
It sounds like the gyro gain.
I will load a devo 10 model into my 7e emulator and see if I can figure out
what you need to change to get the tail to hold.

Only normal mode works for throttle, no stunt modes.
Only normal mode works for pitch, no stunt modes.
I don't see any gyro gain at all.

Can you confirm if the following work or not?
1. DR/EXPO - my emulator shows it does work but does it work on your Tx?
2. Normal mode and stunt mode - my emulator shows that normal mode and stunt mode are the same. It doesn't change the pitch curves that I assigned in the devo 10 model. It shows normal and stunt mode are the same. If so don't try to 3D with as the two modes are -3* negative pitch. So negative pitch would be much less than positive pitch which is about 10* or so.

I did manage to test it and everything is working, I couldn't find anything that didn't feel abnormal at all and your normal mode works great, my son was able to get it to fly too. Nice work!
Thanks for the help and all that you do.

Your welcome.
Thanks for testing the model for me and letting me know it works correctly.
This means my models will also work on the Devo 7E without having to change any settings.

I'm guessing that can be adjusted, but I have no idea what to adjust to shorten that servo movement or if I'm even correct in thinking that.

It does sound like the servos might be binding once in a while.
I would turn down the rudder travel adjustment. This is how I believe you would do it in the 7e. I am doing this in the 7e emulator so it should be the same on your Tx. But I don't know what value to have you try as they go up and down to 250. Default is 100.
Here is what I am talking about.
Model Menu, Mixer, RUD 5-Hold (click this), Scale minus and Scale positive
are the travel adjustments.

On spektrums, to get into programming mode for the 130, you can set the throttle to full, turn the tx on, then plug the heli up and it puts the 130 in programming mode. Tried it with the devo, but no luck.
Long story short, I don't think it's the config.

For tail binding, try moving the servo closer to the body to create slightly more distance for the pushrod to travel, you should also grease the tail shaft slightly and make sure its straight. The xtreme dual point pitch slider is realy worth looking into if you like upgrading.
For entering the 130x gyro adjustment mode, you don't need a spectrum. Just make sure TH is off and that doesn't do it, up your throttle min/max to -/+ 150 and you should have no issues putting the 130x into xmas tree mode
Happy landings!
Cheers!

I wanted to get in there and turn my gain down on my rudder to correct this tail from spazzing out while I was at it.
For whatever reason this devo just will not stick that 130 in programming mode. It just wants to bind up instead.
Edit: Figured it out, I set the scale both to 150 too, and that got me in. Finally!
