Does anyone have a set up for a FC using a 401b and a DSM rx? I started to work one but im not sure how to set up swash due to there is no mixing? do i have to set the model up in a plane menu?

It should be set up as a Heli and use 1SERVO90°.

Here is a model I made. Let me know if it works OK and I will make Beginner and Standard settings models for people and list it in my master list sticky.

I don't have a Funcopter to test fly it. I made this off a setup on a web site for the Funcopter with the DX6I.
Power it up but don't take off and make sure the servos are working in the correct directions. I have ELEV and RUDD reversed and the rest normal as instructed.
If the servos are working in the correct directions lift off just a little bit and see if the tail is holding and the gyro is working in the correct direction. I don't know what the DIR on the GY401 direction should be set to. Either NOR or REV.



This model is for deviation firmware v4 and the DEVO 6/6S/7e/8/8S/10/12/12S.

Rename the model to a model number you have free.

  • Gyro gain is on the Gear Switch. Adjust as needed.
  • 0: 70.0%
    1: 30.0%
  • Throttle hold on the RUDD D/R switch
  • TX Power=100mW
  • Channels=7
  • Protocol=DSMX
  • Telemetry=Off
  • No Fixed ID
  • Stick Mode 2
  • If you need Stick Mode 1, 3, or 4 load the model into your transmitter then change the Stick Mode in the transmitter settings.



  • DR/EXPO - Standard Settings

    Adjust D/R and EXPO to your personal preference.


    Switch Position

    0- ELEV D/R = 70% EXP +30%

    0- AILE D/R = 70% EXP +30%

    RUDD D/R = 100% EXP LIN



    Switch Position

    1- ELEV D/R = 100% EXP +30%

    1- AILE D/R = 100% EXP +30%

    RUDD D/R = 100% EXP LIN

Your welcome.
Do you have a DSM2 or DSMX receiver?
I made the model for DSMX. If you have a DSM2 receiver you might have to change Protocol=DSMX to Protocol=DSM2

Edit: Here is a model for DSM2 if you need it.

Here my very simple Funcopter Model.ini using DEVO protocol.

Throttle, Ail, Elev and Rudd with Expo Dual Rate assigned to respective switch. Position 0=linear, position 1=Expo
Gear switch used as throttle hold on -110% to turning immediately off motor
Two timers started by throttle and resetted with AUX4 e AUX5 Knob

Hoping could be useful!
