DEVO 8S DEVIATION ,DSM2 NEED SETTINGS FOR 450FBL was created by thomasprevere
hi,first time with deviation and dsm2,can you post some settings to start with my tarot 450 and dsm2 protocol or any file to download in advanced mode?
I will use robird g31 and satellite that works with 1 servo 90 ccpm mixing.
Thanks

if your using the advanced GUI then the best place to start would be to load the 6ch heli template and then go from there, go into the model settings and set the protocol to dsm2, then go into the swash settings and change it to 1 servo. that will get you in the ballpark and it will just be a case of sorting servo reverse (if needed), end points, throw etc, whilst doing the fbl setup. if you get stuck on anything specific post back. I have a microbeast setup for dsm2 sat usage that would most likely get you started but it's setup for the standard GUI not the advanced.

Standar GUI is more easy to start, but i would like to learn the advanced GUI.
I start with this in advanced gui dsm2,helicopter,1 servo and reverse, then my servo tail didn't respond when i move the rudder stick ,somehow i find it ,but i can't figure out how you set the throttle curves, throttle hold or fix the UI1 IU2 at this advanced GUI...
Maybe i must try the standar GUI...

For those reading this in isolation - this is not necessarily the case, it depends on which 3axis gyro controller you use: 3GX (3 Servos) Beastx (1 Servo/Normal), etc.

as you can see my post was in direct response to thomas asking for directions for his robird g31 that requires 1 servo swash setting, i can't see why people would read my instructions and think otherwise? and the only way to read it in isolation is in your chopped quote?

This may be a feature of your Gyro Controller, most of them eg 3GX and Beastx has a setup mode when you tell it (calibrate) the range of your throttle signal. It must be done on most controllers, especially those that include a governor function.
Did you do a stick calibration on the Devo and are you sure you don't have dual rates enabled?
Lastly move the Devo Throttle Scale from +100 to +125, that might just take yo to full power.

I don't have problem with stick calibration or something else,my only problem is that my hp08 motor max out at 70% throttle,so i can't set the governor value% to know what headspeed i am running, because if the motor max out at 70% then i must set the governor to 45-50% to work properly but then i don't know the right headspeed that i am running in blheli program

sounds like you need to calibrate the esc's throttle end points, wait an hp08 in a 450? if you are now talking about using blheli's pwm to ppm conversion on a micro heli then that is the issue, I came across the same thing in my fbl80 bl swap, as already mentioned maxing the throttle end points will help a bit with that, but I still couldn't get a full range throttle stick even then

Hpo8 on 450 ..
No,but the settings for my v120d02s and my 450 are almost the same, coz i use robird on v120 10a esc with blheli and i have calibrate the esc with this video
that works with my previous tx futaba 7c
Now i calibrate it but it max out at 65-70% and i know that this problems with throttle calibration are most when the signal is pwm ,pwm you can't calibrate it,only ppm,so i don't understand why the motor max out at 70 and not to 100% throttle

Ok,i found how to fix the throttle curve, my motor max out at 65% throttle so i reduce the scale + to 65 and now i have linear throttle from -100 to +100
