Do you have the nRF chip installed? Is there a * in front of the cx-10 protocol?
You might want to try a different flavor of the protocol. See other options in this list

I snapped a picture of my board on my cx-10c. Can you tell me from the pic if that is supported? I don't see nrf though.

I don't know. My question was if you modded the tx with the additional nRF module.

Oh no I've never done that, but I bought second hand and it had some stuff done to it but I'm not sure all that was done and I don't have a proper tool to open it up. Takes a special bit.

it uses a 2mm allen key to open, and you'd best open it and see what's in there, or ask who you purchased it from so you'll know what craft are compatable

that's the main mcu and a voltage regulator, see the large rectangle that's a silver box, about 2" x 1 1/2" are their any extra wires soldered to that going to a seperate small pcb? if not your tx is totally stock

no, that's a crystal in the picture of the mcu, here's a pic of the inside of a devo8, the thing with the blue V drawn on it is the stock rf module for the d10,

if you have extra modules added there will be wires soldered to the pins of that leading to a separate pcb('s) like so

Ok so now I understand I do not have any mods should I add the nrf and the other one in the pic would that open up to a lot more stuff I can control?

Where do I get them and are there instructions here to install those?

I have a pretty fair hand when it comes to soldering just need to k ow my input locations. Thanks so much Harry you've opened my eyes on what this controller can really do.

no probs bud, we're all here to help and be helped after all :) yeah adding extra rf modules opens up the use of models that use those specific rf chips for their protocol. the stock devo rf board will do devention (obviously lol) and when you install deviation it will also work with spektrum dsm2/dsmx. so if you want to fly models and use rx's that aren't one of those you'll need to add modules.

having a read through the wiki would be a good starting point for modding information

www.deviationtx.com/wiki/

but also there is a new module that's recently been released that contains all of the commonly used rf chips in one module which isn't mentioned in the wiki yet, also there is a newer revision of it about to be released that will be practically plug and play (bar soldering 3 wires) for the devo10 that also fixes a few issues from the initial version. you can find the info on that board here >> www.deviationtx.com/forum/7-development/...-3in1-4in1-rf-module

So I just got a 3-in-one module and deviation installed today, yay! However, I can't get my CX-10A go to anything other than a glacial pace. I've tried this config, made my own, but nothing I can do will make it do anything more than barely tilt. It is flyable, but nowhere near the speeds I can get using the stock controller. Changing the power mode doesn't seem to help, and flips don't seem to work either, but headless mode does. Any ideas what the heck might be going on? Flips I can easily live without, but I want to go fast!

Hey Harry I went in for a double take today and I found out that I do have that module needed for the cx-10. I have included a picture of my module.

Is there something I need to do to activate or switch to the NRF module?

cool, is it soldered in to your d10? if so you'll just need to enable the module in hardware.ini and setup the model with the correct protocol. all the info you nees to do this is in the wiki I linked you above and in the manual >> www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10 if it's not soldered in you'll need to do that first, again the info for that is in the wiki :)

So I'm trying to get my cx-10 W to work with my 7e. The only module I put in is the nrf module and I know that's working because I control my Syma x5c-1 with it.

I've tried a couple of model files I've found but only one was for the 7e, either way, no joy. Can someone help me please? How should I proceed?

SquirrelD did you get this sorted?

I have the Nrf module as well which works with me CX10 but I can't get it to work with my CX10c

Are there versions of the CX10c that do not use a NRF based protocol?

Salve ho un CX10W e col cellulare è scomodo controllarlo.
Ho acquistato un controller del CX10C ma non si connettono.
Il mio drone ha il PCB verde, anche il controller.
Sul PCB del controller c'è scritto questo:
KY - CX 10T - 01 - REV 01
FR/4=1MM
Ho controllato i chip sui PCB:
Controller: XN297 1546 (PCB separato dalla MB)
CX 10 W: XN297 LCU 1615b

Hi I have a CX10W and her cell phone is inconvenient to control.
I purchased a CX10C controller, but do not connect.
My drone has a green PCB, even the controller.
I say this on the controller PCB:
KY - CX 10T - 01 - REV 01
FR / 4 = 1MM
I checked the chips on the PCB:
Controller: XN297 1546 (from separate PCB MB)
CX 10 W: XN297 LCU 1615b

I wanted to ask anyone of you can help me to connect the controller with the drone, I can also change the FW if someone sends me the right files.
Thanks to you I got to know a lot about this drone and saw connections to connect my USB / TTL chips Silabs 2102
Forgive the translator
