I'm trying to bind an E010 to my devo 7e, I've installed the ini file posted here, and nothing. Do I have to install a module to do this? It looks like after deviation is installed the E010 should be supported, am I wrong about that? Devo ver 5.0

You will need a NRF24L01 or 4-in-1 module to bind.

Works with the Devo 7e this the module for the protocol you need NRF24L01.
After you install it go into you model profile and pick the protocol I can't remember the name but then choose E010.
Scroll down the page and read some of the other post I'm at work and I can't look it up now. Search or click on my name 'ltlethel" and read my post these guys are good ppl they took care of my issue. I had the same problem at first this module is minimal soldering, four pins and on the link in the descriptions they have pictures. Good Luck!

I think you may need one of the nightly builds for the E010 protocol - just and FYI.
Any nightly after maybe 2016/08/30
The protocol is MJXq - Select “E010” format option. If you don't see E010, you probably just need a more recently nightly.
The link above is for the 4-in-1 module, which i think is the best option. But it's expensive and the installation is a bit challenging (if you're using a Devo 7e. If you're using one of the larger Devo's it's supposed to be very easy).
The NRF module alone will get you in the air, but the 4-in-1, if installed properly - will give you access to all sorts of protocols and be a bit tidier.
Here's an NRF that works: www.banggood.com/DEVO-Transmitter-Tuner-...ys-V922-p-89812.html

Thank you. I was using the standard v5.0.0 release, and could not select the MJXq-E010 protocol format option... Good to know.
Edit: installed the 2017-04-21 nightly, and alias-hendrik's model.ini (from the 1st post in this thread), and everything worked beautifully! Thanks y'all.
Edit: Also work well this build: (v5.0.0 w/ updated protocols)

BTW, loved the layout of the MainPageConfig in your model config, alias-hendrik. Very nice.

Just curious, has anybody taken the module from the stock e010 transmitter and installed it into their devo 7e? Is it possible?

I haven't opened up an e010 tx, but I'm guessing it's all integrated into a single board.

I'll tear mine apart when I get home. Now that my tx (7E) can talk to the quad (do flips, blink lights, etc), I have no use for the stock tx.
Edit: Yes, E010 tx is most definitely a single board. So no, one cannot re-purpose the RF section for a Devo tx.

Here's a very slightly modded version of the OP's E010 7E model.ini. His throttle curve is unusual and aggressive (likely tailored to his style and experience level), so I changed it to a simple linear 'curve'.
When I was a beginner it made the E010 MUCH easier to control. I was doing funnels and maneuvers I had no hope of doing with the original curve. Otherwise, all credit goes to Alias_Hendrik. I think it's one of the most well designed model files out there and I use it as the template for almost all my toy quads.
