I took an inductrix preset, removed mixers 5 and 6, rebound them to HOLD0/1 and FMOD0/1, they appear as AUX1/2 in betaflight; this makes the left switch doing ARM, and the right switch change the flight mode between AIR MODE and ANGLE.

Then in betaflight look at the receiver, find the min/max values and enter the CLI (command line to apply):
rxrange 0 1178 1859
rxrange 1 1178 1861
rxrange 2 1179 1862
rxrange 3 1178 1861
save

Above are throttl(0), roll (1), pitch (2), yaw (3).

Note that currently the preset is only using simple (no expo)

Not sure if that's expected, but in AIR MODE with ARM set, the motors are already spinning.

My file works pretty much okay, i was just hoping to get Telemetry to work but i'm not sure that it is supported by DeviationTx; i tried to click on ENT on the DSMX protocol setting, but i don't get to enter into sub-settings, and i even tried to add the following to the model.ini file, without any success

[protocol_opts]
Telemetry=Off

I only want to get the current battery level from the quad.

I ended up installing the latest nightly, whose DSMX options menu does appear as described in the manual, but i'm still not getting anything in the telemetry monitor.

betaflight 3.1.6 is supposed to have the Spektrum SRXL telemetry protocol built-in ( github.com/betaflight/betaflight/commits...bcf376cbaaa96880+600 ) so maybe the quad doesn't support telemetry at all.

I just got my inductrix pro in and I'm having some issues getting it to respond as well. I've imported the model attached above and run the CLI commands above as well. The only thing I can get to happen after bind is toggle the HOLD 0/1 switch and the white LED comes on under the quad.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to quads and TX, but I'm technology savvy and still can't get things to work for me. I'm running Deviation 5.0 and when connecting to betaflight it says version 3.1.6 running when I enter the version command.

Any ideas on what I can do next?

So I noticed the motors weren't responding in cleanflight, but the tx was. I reseated the connection to each motor, booted without, then again with and things starts to respond.

Can someone point me to where I can understand more about the fmod and hold switches and what they do?

The Deviation software can use a switch to do anything, and, as you get to know the software, you'll find a lot of ways to use them. In the model from the start of this thread, channel 5 is set up to use HOLD0. The Inductrix expects to do something when you send a value on channel 5 (in this case it is the "Arm" mode) which was set up in Betaflight (don't have an Inductrix but I do a lot of betaflight!). You can view the results in the Channel Monitor on your transmitter. When you set the HOLD switch in position 1 it will be sending 0 (since the scale is -100 to 100, this is the center value -- Betaflight will see 1500), and when you set the HOLD switch in the 0 position you'll see 100 (BF sees 2000 -- or more precisely, 1859, since that's how DSMX looks to BF). This is defined as a zero/max curve. if you wanted to send the minimum to maximum (-100 and 100, or approx 1141 and 1859 in Betaflight) you would use a Min-Max curve.

Likewise channel 6 is assigned the FMOD switch. Again this is a zero/max curve, so BF sees 1500 on FMOD0 and 2000 for FMOD1; In this case the BF mode setting switches between Air mode and ANGLE mode.

There are a number of resources for learning more... I suggest trying the Emulator (if you have a PC to run it on) as you can view the effects of your model settings and tinker. With the Emulator and the manual you'll pick up a lot. Then look through the tutorials section of the forum. And ask questions.

Happy Flying!

@Deal57 - thanks for the reply! I'll give the emulator a try. In this scenario, the motors start spinning when the fmod switch is engaged. Is that to be expected since it's going into air mode?

I am pretty sure betaflight spins the motors when armed by default. You can turn that off in the betaflight configuration GUI.

Would anyone be willing to do a dump from BF and share it? I'm still having issues and would like to compare. Thanks!
