How do I make the lights stay on on Tarantula X6?

I have a working ini for the Tarantula X6 and it flies great...however the lights slowly blink instead of staying on steady like they do on the stock transmitter.
I don't particularly care about being able to control them with a physical switch, I just want to have them stay on steadily once bound so i can easily see them blink when the lvc warning comes on. I'm new to this and although I have been working with some simple mixers, I don't know how to do this. I believe someone said channel 5 controls the lights on this quad? Thanks.

Did you press the left horizontal - trim button? In Seby's ini file, that's what used in Virt3 to change Channel 5. You could also assign channel 5 to a switch and use min/max.

If the trim button doesn't work, post your ini.

I believe I tried that, but I'll try it again. If not I will post the ini.

Yes, that switch doesn't work. Here is the .ini file I am using.

Ok, I think I can see why it's happening. Channel 5 is using the Rudder as a source, so as long as you keep the rudder in the center position (e.g. 0) the lights will blink, because channel 5 is centered.
[channel5]
template=simple
[mixer]
src=RUD
dest=Ch5
switch=FMODE1
scalar=125
curvetype=expo
points=0,0

If you want to use FMODE1 to turn on the lights, FMODE0 to turn them off, set your simple mix on channel 5 with the source FMODE1. I used a min/max curve, but it's not important.

[mixer]
src=FMODE1
dest=Ch5
curvetype=min/max

Good luck and happy flying!

Just as an oddball point, using the rudder as a source for lights is standard hack for scale model warcraft that have lights mounted as "machine guns". That way, one switch "fires", but mixing in the rudder means they flicker on and off sort of at random, giving a very nice looking scale effect.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

Thanks for the code. Actually I went back and redownloaded Seby's ini, and put it on the radio without any modification and the left rudder trim did the trick as advertised.

I still appreciate the code though as it gives me something to study and try and learn how to program this kind of stuff in the future.

Thanks.

Replied by Fallingwater on topic How do I make the lights stay on on Tarantula X6?
I'm trying this on my own Tarantula as well as my XK X250 and the lights don't seem to stop flashing with any trim in the stock Sebydocky ini, nor with the fmod switch in the modified one posted here. I'm using a Devo 10 with the Banggood 4-in-1 and the latest nightly.
