Blade 270 CFX with BeastX AR7210BX with SAFE was created by Ariete
Hi guys,
I am having trouble setting the Blade 270 CFX with my Devo 8S with deviation v4.0.1 while it works without fail with a DX6i.
I used as template a model that works OK with the Blade 230S.
I can bind to the AR7210BX and it initialises.
I am having two problems:
First: Throttle isn't working. All the other channels are working but nothing happens with the throttle.
Second: I can't activate the trainer mode which is supposed to activate when I change the Gear Switch to 1. It may be related to the first problem because with the DX6i it can't be activated until the throttle has been up at least one time. The FMOD switch is working as expected.
Could you please take a look at my ini file to see if you can find the reason why throttle is not working?
Thanks.

Probably the ESC needs to be calibrated, because the endpoints of different transmitters usually aren't equal.
You can also try to increase the Scale+- values to say 125%.

Thanks FDR,
I increased the scale as suggested and the throttle is working now.
The second problem remains though.
How can I make this to toggle between normal mode and trainer mode?In the DX6i it is done by changing the gyro rate with the gear switch:
But I don't think deviation has a variable gyro rate.

Are you sure, that the GYRO channel is on Ch 7?
Other obvious difference is the values, but I don't know if that would matter.
I guess the DX6 values (28% and 65%) are on a 0..100% scale, so they would equal to -44% and +30%, which you can configure most easily using the DR&Expo template with the fixed function...

Hi FDR,
thanks again you've been very helpful.
I tried changing values and curves but no difference. So at the end I had to read the f. manual and you were right:
So I moved the operation of Gear1 to channel 5 and it is working now
. Only remains to test it in the field but I can see that trainer mode is active.
The only thing that I am not sure if does anything at all is the code for channel 5 that I moved to channel 7
Although I still have to test it I attach the latest model should anyone need it.

I'm glad that it works!
Try to set the source of the Ch7 to None, and it will disappear, or simply delete that section from the file if it bothers you...

Field report-Final model
The test on the field revealed a problem with the rudder gain. The tail was doing continuous sudden movements both ways. I applied a three point curve with the values FDR calculated and it corrected,
Now it works great!
