hello, are a new user, I do not know if' this and the right section to ask for help, I have a radio wk-2603 and I have a receiver devo wk-rx-601, I wanted to ask if you can change the firmaware protocol in the module on radio wk2603, so I can bind with receiver ..... is possible ? thanks

Your question is a bit confusing. Are you talking about the DEVO RX601 receiver?
If so, that is a DEVO receiver and cannot be used with the WK-2603.
The old WK-2603 transmitter is not supported by deviation (none of the old Walkera transmitters are), and you can't replace it's fw to support the DEVO (or DSM, etc) receivers...

but if I install magic cube, it should work right? but if I changed the firmware module walkera putting firmware module devo 7, it does not work?

Yes the magic cube should work, but it has low output power.
The firmware of the WK2603 is not upgradable at all.

you have the firmware module devo 7, I want to try to load the module wk 2603, i program with avr usb programmer, I think it is only the module firmware and not the radio devo 7

It wouldn't work, because the WK2603 doesn't have the same hardware as the DEVO 7...

ah ok , sin, I had taken the RX 601 by mistake, I thought it went well for wk 2603, I now have a radio receiver and a different ...... :dry: :blink:

and upgrade firmware on rx 601 ? firmware rx walkera on rx devo ...is possible? , i see rx 26xx and rx devo rx 601 have identical chip atmega

Now is a good time to buy a DEVO transmitter for your already existing DEVO receiver! ;)
Then you could use deviation to control almost everithing, including your existing 2603 compatible Walkera stuff...

the strange thing that I ask is that the firmware supports deviation walkera rx and rx d evo, but I can not load the firmware on the radio, I opened the module and chip and cyrf6936

Yep, the RF chip is the same, that's why a DEVO radio with deviation fw can control the old WK stuff, but the rest of the electronics are completely different.
Even the microcontroller is different, so no wonder you can't run deviation on it.

yes, the devo7 will support a rx601, but it will not support anything else. You cannot run Deviation on a Devo7. If you are thinking of buying a Devo radio, I strongly recommend staying away from the Devo7.

sadly there aren't many options at the moment. Walkera has moved primarily to support the F12E and Devo12E and seems to have little interest in anything else. The Devo7e is the cheapest of the Walkera Devo radios that can support Deviation. It is a good choice for a tight budget or for someone who wants a small/light-weight transmitter.
