KDS protocol

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knew which protocol is used by KDS. A few years ago, it was apparently identical to the one used by Hobbyking in their 7ch TX.
I have several helicopters flying with KDS RXes, but the TX is beginning to show signs of wear and tear.
As I have ordered a Walkera Devo 10 TX for my airplanes (all using Spektrum RXes) I would like to be able to use it, if possible, for my helicopters with KDS.
