Thanks :)

I had a further look and as I thought this is similar to the MT99xx / H7 protocol except that it always transmits on the same channel.
I'll implement it and post a test firmware.

I also have to find why the optimized xn297 crc algo didn't work last time I had a look at it ... worst case I'll remove the i6S format option (the only one that's using xn297 unscrambled mode) for now.

Here's a test build, select MT99XX protocol then LS114 format option:

Yes it works. A bit more sensative and a tendency to Yaw anti-clock wise. I have not tested in headless mode, or flips, cus I do not know the switch it requres.
I also have LS124 which is not head less, it also binded succesfully.
There is a file in your test build "debug-Devo7e-Unknown.zip", what is this for.

Cool :)

You don't need the zip that's inside the zip, it's only useful to developers.
Headless is not implemented because there was no trace of it in your capture (I think it doesn't trigger when throttle is low), I think you'll have to make another one.
For flips, try channel 6, it should work if it's using the same flag than MT99/H7, otherwise you'll have to make another capture.

Regarding Yaw, you had a lot of right trim on your stock transmitter, if you feel you can't set enough trim, go to the Trims screen then set 1.0 steps instead of default 0.1

Hi goebish, thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it very much and I am sure all those who have these q-copter.
I have captured some more, please have a look, if there is any more data you want, let me know.

By the way what is this miss matching of data, should I be concerned and how can I avoid it in future capture.
Thanks for your help.

There's still nothing interesting in your "HEADLESS_MODE" capture, I think that's because throttle is down.
Give some throttle before capturing that (the copter doesn't need to be turned on ...)

You're having mismatch / errors because your SPI decoder isn't configured properly, that's not a problem for me ;)
Here's how you should configure it:

(note this can vary depending how your probes are connected ...)

How about these captures for Headless Mode

www.mediafire.com/download/vet2ygkescat2...P-HEADLESS-ON-OFF.7z
www.mediafire.com/download/sbgjtvh7bh9ca...N-HEADLESS-ON-OFF.7z

This Q-copter goes into headless mode regardless of positgion of throtle.

Ok, I think I see it.
It's using the same flag than for video recording on MT99XX, so headless should work on channel 8 with the test build I posted.
Can you check that ?

No, according to the captures it doesn't ;)

No, you're using Deviation, so you've 12 channels ;)

Just map a switch to channel 8 in the mixer.

Sorry to be a lame duck. How do you map a switch or channel in 7e. I haven't got a clue. I have searched every where, could not find any answer.

Hmmm, there's a User Manual you know ;)
www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10

Go to the Mixer screen, then highlight "None" next to Ch8 then press ENT:

Now highlight "None", then change it to "Simple":

Then for Src, select "HOLD1" for example:

Then don't forget to select "Save" then press ENT:

Now you can check in channel monitor screen that Ch8 is in high position when Hold switch is down (HOLD1).

I just teseted using Ch8, you can go into headless mode immediately after binding and come out of it with a flick of the same switch.
I will test flip outside the house, when the weather is calm

Flip is on channel 6, but it will work only if it's using the same flag than MT99 / H7, if it doesn't work you'll have to make another capture ;)
Also, I'll move headless to Channel 9, so it's the same than other protocols.

... and no hurry, the protocol isn't ready for nightly anyway, I've to optimize the "extended" xn297 layer because it doesn't fit in the 7e as it is.
(well, it does with the old compiler I'm using, but not with the newer one...)

Ok thanks, I'll try to work on the size issue I had with xn297 "unscrambled" mode so it can be included in nightly build.

Meanwhile, just use this test build ;)
