Thank you so much!
PS: It seems empty tome
I was trying to delete the datalog file, but the transmitter won*t create a new one...
Thank you so much!

You're right, no data was recorded. Deviation can't create files so the file must exist before it can be used. The test code resets it when the protocol starts, so be sure to restart in usb mode immediately after the operating session.
Just to eliminate the obvious, confirm the Telemetry protocol option is set to on.
Nothing recorded means no telemetry is being received from the plane. I can make another test build that records any receiving errors, but those aren't likely if the plane is nearby.

Thanks for your fast replay.
Telemetry is on and i am going immediately after the operation in usb mode....
But something with this test build might be not correct: For a cross-check I was loading my profile for my correct working telemetry plane, binding this plane, but with this build "...9f2" no telemetry is coming to my remote. And also nothing inside the datalog...

Thanks for your time and help!

Thanks, that's good information. Evidently I broke something between the last working test version and the latest code.
I've uploaded a couple versions here . The 7306797 version is the same as the last working version from earlier in this thread. The 7330f02 version is the latest code with one minor fix I found, though I don't think it will make a difference. So if 73067 works and 7330f does not we can try the different changes between those two to see which one breaks the telemetry.
Please try the 73067 version with both old and new planes. Both these versions update the datalog file, but it will only be important if the old planes work and the new one doesn't.

You are blazing fast....great!
I am trying Version 73067 and telemetry is back with my old plane. But the datalog file is empty when I am opening it with a text editor with both planes!

Okay, thanks for testing. I made another build taking another step back.
78099b3
was the previous version used to capture the datalog, but will not display the telemetry values correctly. Please see if you can get a datalog for both old and new planes.
Won't have much time to do more for a couple weeks.

Now datalog has some data. See my zip file. But if i am doing a one minute slot with the new one after the old one, the file is empty. "datalogNew2" was after 1min and "datalognew" after some seconds. Does that mean, that no telemetry is coming to my remote?

Correct, no data is being received from the new plane. Maybe this plane needs something new to enable telemetry.
Looking at the manual for the anniversary edition BNF there are several setup options around binding and SAFE/AS3X+.. Are those the same as the older planes?
If possible it would be good to see if the telemetry works with an MPM edgetx/opentx setup. As best I can tell from the code the behavior should be the same. Maybe the spektrum forward programming would give some clues.
It'll be next week before I can make another test version.

Thank you for your great help!
It might be something with the receiver (AR631+) or the telemetry ESC. Today I have installed an update on the AR631 but nothing happens. Tomorrow I will update the ESC to see if there is a problem. For this update I ordered a programmer box that will arrive tomorrow.

Is there anything I can do?
Thanks a lot

I learned a bit from watching the spektrum video about upgrading an AR631 from ASX (firmware version 2.x) to ASX+ (3.x). Is that the upgrade you made? What version of firmware does the receiver report?
The video said spektrum transmitter firmware must also be upgraded to work with the 3.x receiver firmware. Don't know if that means some protocol changes were made but it's possible. Do you have a spektrum transmitter you use for setting up the receiver? I don't have any spektrum equipment to work with.

Unfortunately I don't have any Spektrum Hardware. The AR631+ came with firmware 3.3 and now 3.4 is the newest one.
Here you can see the changelog: wiki.spektrumrc.com/__attachments/531703...59-a0f5-7467f174001c
So are there any chances left to get the telemetry working? It would be awesome

Without access to the hardware there's not much I can do directly. I'll review the code again and maybe spot something. I didn't find any complaints online about it not working with edgetx/MPM so it would be interesting if you can find someone to test your plane with that setup.

I added a test build
4692be7
to try. The MPM accepts a bind response packet which deviation just ignores. I added code to receive this packet and add it to the datalog.bin file. Please try binding with both the old and new planes and post the datalog files here. I don't think it will make any difference for the issue of not receiving telemetry from the new plane but may provide a hint on the issue.

Thank you so much!
Sorry for the late reply, but i was on holiday.
After some tests, i have to say: The datalog of theold plane has some data, but unfurtunatly the datalog of the new one is still emtpy!
Even with the new test build....
Thank you anyway
