New "nightly build" was created by hexfet

New "nightly build"

Category: Development

bce9b99 This is in the test builds folder. The github nightly build is broken and I don't have access to fix it.
  • PR1043 by bnmoore fixed an issue with number parameters in CRSF configuration
  • PR1040 by phantom-8 fixed bug with audio when shutting down
  • PR1044 added CRSF V3 speed negotiation and support for 2.0Mbps data rate with TBS XF Transmitter. If the model data rate is set to 400K the rate will be negotiated up to 2.0Mbps. But just select 2.0Mbps as the model data rate with TBS and the XF module will auto-baud immediately.
  • PR1045 added support for Flysky AC type telemetry ("extended" telemetry) sensors. Tested by Pavel with altitude and temperature sensors. Added "max altitude" telemetry value to FrSky telemetry. On Telemetry test page the value is in the last row right-most column. Available in telemetry config as "MaxAlt". Reset to 0 by long press of UP on Telemetry test page.
  • PR1046 CRSF configuration menu improvements
  • ** When a parameter is changed, all elements of the current folder and the folder itself are reloaded. This handles dynamic changes to parameter names and options caused by changes to other parameters. For example, with ELRS changing the packet rate can cause the available switch mode options to change. This can be a little slow at 400Kbps data rate so be sure to use 1.87Mbps(ELRS) or 2.00Mbps(TBS).
** Parameters where the label + value lengths are wider than the screen are split into two rows. This fixes an issue with values partially overwriting label strings in the display.
** When navigating between folders the current selection in a folder is remembered. If the folder is opened again the same row will be selected.

Thank you :-)
It is homemade foamie 1,3 m wingspan PT17 Stearman.
The datalog looks good, the over six hundred meters at the end are recorded after disconnecting the battery in the plane after landing.

I am going to organize second altitude sensor for future testing.
The results I will put here ...

Many thanks for your effort

Regards
Pavel

File Name: datalogCHRISTMAS.zip
File Size:0 KB
[/b]Many thanks, I will test it as soon as possible.
Today we had club Christmas meeting on the airfield, it was again very windy, but two of us took planes in the air. :-)
So we have new datalog :-)
I wish you also nice holidays and very very good new year!

I created a new test build ( 81977b2 ). I added a telemetry item for max altitude. Row 10, first column. The value will be reset to zero by a long UP press while on the telemetry test screen, and when the tx is powered off.

Probably using the datalog to record the altitude is a better solution, but the script to decode the datalog file is way out-of-date and I don't have time to update it right now.

Have a great holidays!

Blade mCP X Bl2
Throttle cut is on Rudd switch along with timer.
Aile and Elev are D/R expos.
Gear Switch is panic recovery mode it turns green but on the spektrum tx it turns blue so I could be wrong the scale should be -150 to get it to work.
F mod: Stability z mode is Green.
F mod 1: Stability mode is blue.
F mod 2: 3d mode Red.
Follow manual to bind.
bind only last for 2 sec I don't know how to adjust for longer time.
This is my second model config I made so if other can improve please do so.

Goosky S1

Category: Model Configs

Made a Goosky S1 config
First thing you need is a Spektrum AR6210 6 Channel DXMX Receiver-SPMAR6210 for this to work.
F-mod switch is normal mode and stunt 1 and 2.
F_mod switch is Pose mode in normal mode and stunt 1 &2 is manual mode.
Rudd Switch is Throttle Hold.
Elev D/R and Aile D/R adjust to your Taste.
This is all done on Devo 10 with Deviation 5.0
Mode 2 is the stick modes.
Timer is on Rudd switch

Oooooooops ....
I set the interval to 5 second to cover the flight time expected 5-6 minutes.
I forget to set the altitude to zero, this 72m was there at the start ....
I will check the sensor and when the weather would be better, i will make next test.
PS: One idea - is there a chance save the maximal altitude reached during flight ?

Have a nice Christmas

The file format looks good, but the data is all the same: temperature 13 C, altitude 72.00 m.

The rate was set to record every 5 seconds? There are 70 entries in the datalog which would be about 5 minutes of recordings.

I made the datalog, I hope its OK, while it was windy and didn´t observe the display at all, it is a pitty...

I uploaded a new test build ( 51f0ee8 ). The altitude is rounded to the nearest meter. The display still shows decimal point because that code is shared with other protocols.

I'll go ahead and merge the PR with these changes. I'll publish a new build from master soon - have another CRSF change coming.

Thanks for the testing!

Hello
I agree with you. It is what I tried to write :-)
For me it is enough to know the altitude in whole meters, for landing it is not useful in any case.
For example we have on our club airport the highest flying level set by the authorities and it is good to know, how high I am flying ...
So from my point of view whole numbers are OK.
Another thing is to switch to another BOSCH sensor, BMP280 or the next one, but it is not so simple, I think ....
I am satisfied with the job you did :-)
Excellent!

Good to know there's general agreement between the sensor and the watch.

The datasheet lists the relative accuracy as +/- 1m. I think that means if the sensor is exposed to same pressure at two different times the readings could be up to 2m different. It will probably be a better user experience to just round to whole numbers. What do you think?

In about 90-100minutes the altitude reading rises up to 8-9 m from zero. But in the same time the altitude reading on watches rises up from 155m to 165 m , so the same difference. Also the value is different from our last seance, and I didn´t do the reference height.

The real change was about 4 - 4,5 meters.
Keeping in mind the datasheet, I think that the accuracy of the Bosch sensor is not so high ... I read some discussions and the temperature sensor has a bit high fluctuation ....
Theoretically we could calculate vertical speed also, what could be usefull for sailplanes, but the precision of the sensor could be the problem.
Anyway, chapeau for excelent job !

One note to the slow change from 2 m to 9m and back ...The sensor was on the desk at beginning, after some time a Take it and went upstairs to the next stock and there I lift it in my hand to the ceiling for some seconds and than I went back downstairs and put the sensor back on the desk ... I expected the displayed altitude would be about 2m again ... THe difference was 4,5m

I think it could be usefull to have the possibility, to set up the displayed output - if it will be with or without decimal numbers.
For example I am flying fixed wing biplane, Stearmen PT17 and for that the altitude rounded to whole meters would be fine ...

Have a nice day
