Did you update the protocols as well? If not, you need to.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Protocols?

Sorry to sound lost but I am. A buddy brought his controller over to do the update and there seems to be so little documentation on the process I just got the first part done and now the controller only starts up with the Program Update screen like pressing the EXT and powering on. Does that on startup no matter what now.

Any documentation on updating the protocols?

Thanks

It looks like you have pressed "Upload" button and damage firmware file, then press "Upgrade" and flash damaged firmware file.

Download fresh firmware archive and try again. Then use USB mode and renew "protocol" folder (all filesystem if needed).

I have tried but as you can see from the screen shot I load the firmware file but the "Upgrade" button stays grayed out. All buttons but the Quit button are grayed out. It acts like the right version is loaded if you look at the "Available DFU Devices" Vendor ID, Product ID and Version they match the same on the File Information, but from that point on when you turn the 7E on it just goes to the same Program mode no matter what buttons you press during startup.

Upgrading an existing instal is essentially identical to doing a fresh install. The only difference is you don't have to format the disk in the Tx, as it's already been done, and you want to avoid overwriting your existing config files.

That process has been very thoroughly documented in the second part of the manual: www.deviationtx.com/user-manual/user-manual-7e-10 . Reading the manual before hacking the device is highly recommended.

I don't see Tx identifier at bottom, so Tx is not identified by Dfuse. Something wrong with USB driver.

OK I used the Java installer and now I get the USB screen when I start while pressing the ENT button and I get a drive F on my PC. I thought the documentation said if I used the jar/Deviation install I wouldn't need to do anything else. If I start the 7E without pressing a button I just get a blank screen. I know on the other documentation it said something about formating the drive (F) and then coping files to it but those were the directions that messed things up the first time. I don't want to make any mistakes but I'm at a loss where to go from here. Can I get some help?

Thanks

When I get to the file but can't copy/download the file. Clicking or dblclicking it does nothing? And it says Walkera Dfuse does that matter?

If you canĀ“t download a specific file, try "download all"....which gives you a zip file of 17Mb.

Downloaded and installed the Upgrade tool, which I thought I already did that part, but it app doesn't see any device. I turn it on while holeding the EXT button and it goes to the Program screen and I heard the USB device being found in Windows but no device in the app.
