This is what I have in my DEVO EMU folder:
Language (folder)
Media (folder)
Modelico (folder)
Models (folder)
Template (folder)
Deviation-emu_devo10-v3.0.0 (exe)
Errors (text doc)
Libportaudio-2.dll
So how do I get the two color screens on the right like gapi shows on his post?

Why am I using filesystem/devo8 for Devo6(S), 8(S) and 12(S) and not the Devo10 filesystem?

I put the three dll files in the folder with the emu and tried many combinations of devo file systems, but all i get is a black screen and the data stream screen showing it cant locate alot of stuff. At one point i would get the model icon and a layout screen, but the back ground remains black and i can only shift from box to box with the arrow keys.
I also use "run as admin" but same results.
What im i doing wrong?

Hi togehther,
I have exactly the same problem like Kdean.
Could anyone put the complete (working) EMU folder in a zip?
Let´s try...

You need place filesystem for emulator at:
filesystem\Devo10 (for Devo 7e and Devo 10)
filesystem\Devo8 (for Devo 6, Devo 8, Devo12)
filesystem\Devo10 (for Devo 7e and Devo 10)
filesystem\Devo8 (for Devo 6, Devo 8, Devo12)

For the emulator you must have a special directory structure. Where the emu_devoXX.exe is, create a folder "filesystem" and inside a directory "devo8" (Devo12 uses devo8-filestructure).
Put the media, models, language... directories in this, so you have something looking like:
I have described this structure now for the fourth or fifth time... When I find some spare time I will write an easy description for the emus (on one page or so) which can be placed in the HowTo section or together with the manuals... or exists a volunteer out there?

I dont see a "media" folder in my filesys???
Could this be why it can not locate alot of things?
What comes in a media file?
Ive unziped some of the down loads and i get a "deviation-devo12-v3.0.0-e610f6.dfu"
Then another file to unzip that gives me "devo12.elf"
Are these for updateing the tx only?
The devo12-fs-58a768 that i downloaded gives me a "devo12-lib.dfu" and the filesystem folder that has no "media" folder in it.

Sorry, I have my Devo12 only for a few days yet and I'm used to Devo8.
Devo12 has no media directory. There is some space limitation and that is the reason why for the Devo12 the library (contains the media dir) is necessary. But I believe the emulator will use this directory too (haven't tested yet, but it uses the Devo8-filesystem what contains the media dir).

Extract the zip file to a folder on your desktop or? Then run the file emu_devo12.exe. I have re-tried this (re-tested) this zip and it works fine, here. Contained inside that zip are the latest test from RBE2012/others and it really does work well on this computer.

This forum has blocked the Zip due to size limitations, I suppose, I am trying to send to you. If you will provide me your email address, I will happily send it to you but, outside this forum and it's size restrictions.. This zip should allow you to use the EMU with the latest developments from RBE2012.
Did you get the first zip I sent via this forum, the one you said did not work?
I'll try sending it again but...........
it should be attached here but, if no, send your address please and Ill get it (the EMU zip) over to you right away.

Do you still need help with the 12S EMU?
The zip I made is too large to send via the forum. If you will send me your email address or, write to me, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., I will reply and, send a zip for the Devo12S containing what I believe to be and, is the latest progress from RBE2012, others..
